Hypocrisy

I’m excited tonight, as this is my first time seeing Hypocrisy, and as a bonus, they are being supported by two of the UK’s finest up-and-coming death metal acts; Bloodshot Dawn and Ancient Ascendant.

Even on the way into the capital I spot eager looking, band t-shirt clad gig-goers who are obviously headed in the same direction as me, and you get the feeling that tonight cannot fail to entertain!

I arrive 30 minutes before doors and step out onto a breezy and (as usual,) busy Camden high street, and across the road the snake of black-shirted metallers is already coiled around The World’s End pub, awaiting admittance to The Underworld.

Scar Symmetry

It’s the last Friday in March, deep in the heart of what is supposed to Spring, with the onset of British Summer Time on the horizon – and it’s fucking freezing.  In fact, the remnants of the previous weekend’s snow are still piled, not terribly neatly, at the edges of some pavements.

Add to the fact, that it’s Good Friday – which means that in this small part of the world the moral majority still dictate to the vast majority by forcing bars to remain firmly closed for all but a few fleeting hours and entertainment to finish at the unearthly hour of 11am!
