Summer Breeze 2014 – Dinkelsbuhl, Germany

November 3rd, 2014

Metal, beer and bratwurst are the unholy alliance at German metal festivals. Those festivals are those things that every banger has to experiment once in lifetime. Even though festivals are packed by those obvious and quaranteed bands on the bill, but missing the true metal feeling is something. Summer Breeze has grown tremendously and gained the monumental status amongst several other metal festivals in Germany. The main headliner of this year was without any doubts Machine Head. The Summer Breeze festival is the well organized metal festival in Southern Germany. Even though most of bands appeal to the metal public, but some strange German acts such as JBO were on the bill. However, Summer Breeze was a great success, despite the horrible weather. Here is the brief article of the fest.

Bloodstock 2014

Bloodstock 2014

Bloodstock has become something of a staple holiday for many metal heads, with its fine selection of musical delights, the drinking until dawn, great company, dressing up and of course the bin jousting! What more could you want besides all of this?

Despite its reputation for a tricky commute and arguably eyesore appearance (don’t confuse familiarity with satisfaction, fellow Londoners), the O2 Arena is a fantastic venue space for the Golden Gods and ample notice that metal is still as healthy as it ever was, showing no signs of bowing to austerity measures.

What would we do without this yearly event?

Well, for a start we’d probably have healthier livers and better hearing in our later years, however many would also be deprived of their chance to postpone their Download hangovers or simply be given a reason to wash off this year’s festival mud and watch some of the scene’s glitterati forget about their day jobs for an evening.  Metal Hammer Magazine’s annual schmoozefest is upon us, and with it a dazzling array of leather, lip gloss & limp fringes.

LOS ANGELES, CA – TUESDAY, June 7, 2011 — The members of seminal NYC Platinum hardcore/metal band Biohazard have announced that bassist/co-vocalist Evan Seinfeld has left the line-up. “We have a long history together, but it’s time for a change,” said guitarist/co-founder Bobby Hambel. “We wish Evan well.”

Scott Roberts, who played on the band’s 2005 Means to an End album and has been part of the Biohazard extended family since, will step in for Seinfeld when Biohazard plays the UK’s Download Festival on June 12, and again on June 13 at the Metal Hammer “Golden Gods Awards” in London. Hambel, guitarist/vocalist Billy Graziadei and drummer Danny Schuler will begin scouting for a permanent replacement when they return to the U.S.

Working with producer Toby Wright, Biohazard has just completed its first new studio album in six years and the first with the original lineup since 1994’s State of The World Address. The album will be released this fall, and will be followed by an extensive world tour, with concerts planned in North America, South America, Europe, Asia, and Australia. “We had a great time recording this album and we’re psyched about it,” said Graziadei. “We’re really looking forward to having everyone hear it and to get back on the road to rip it up!”

“I think it’s one of the best albums we’ve ever done,” echoed Schuler, “so we’re ready to see what the future holds.”
