New Edu Falaschi’s DO IT! STUDIO opens doors in Brazil
Singer, composer and producer Edu Falaschi (ALMAh, ex-Angra) proudly announces his new “headquarters” in São Paulo (Brazil) – “DO IT! STUDIO” recently established in a partnership with his brother and former Symbols bandmate Tito Falaschi. Besides working at Falaschi’s own projects, such as Almah first of all, it’s a new pleasant home for musicians from Brazil and abroad who dream to create a professional recording having in mind Angra, Almah or Soulspell quality.
During the first weeks of working DO IT! STUDIO has become one of the centers of the independent music in the megapolis and got many contacts from abroad due to its professional and creative approach.
Edu Falaschi: “Actually, DO IT! STUDIO is a real accomplishment of my philosophy as a producer! I have in mind to make REAL sound production according to the international standards. Having worked for more than 10 years with ANGRA, I know what it’s all about, how the production of a professional CD should be done, detail by detail and thinking about the final result as a means to show identity of the band to future fans. Every step of work should be done with a lot of care, from composition and arrangements to mastering!
Well, this year I joined my forces with my brother Tito to create this studio with modern equipment such as Amp Mesaboogie, Pro-Tools, Cubase, Mac computers, Yamaha monitors etc. All this will allow you to get to the best quality to be presented at the music market of today without wasting a lot of money. Due to our experience and contacts we can afford to select good and promising bands to work with. For example, the debut CD of Age Of Artemis (2012) is very successful in Brazil and got a record deal in Japan. Now it’s your turn!
Be serious, be professional and responsible – it’s a good base to establish your future in the music! And welcome to DO IT! STUDIO”.

Almah singer Edu Falaschi comments on his past and future career
Brazilian singer, composer and producer Edu Falaschi (Almah, ex-Angra) in a recent interview to Russian webzine Headbanger revealed several details about his past and future career in Angra and Almah, work as a music producer, current metal scene in Brazil and Metal Open Air Festival. It’s the first international interview available in English where the singer honestly explains his voice problems of the last year and tells about the treatment:
“The problem wasn’t with my vocal chords, I had a reflux problem. It’s something that happens in your stomach – when you start eating things that are not so good, like Coca Cola or coffee, your acid starts becoming bigger and bigger and then you feel the acid going up into your vocal chords. Formally I didn’t have any problem with my vocal chords, my vocal chords were OK, but I had a high level of acid so often that I needed a break. I started singing very bad, and I didn’t know why. When I would go to doctors, they would say I was fine, they didn’t see any problem with my vocal chords. It was only a few years later when I found out that the problem was with the acid. Then I started getting treatment, and my voice started to become better and better. Nowadays my voice is OK, and this is very nice.
I have taken nearly five months of treatment, I have taken medicines and visited many doctors, and nowadays I can sing normally. But am I going to take high notes again and risk ruining my voice? No. As Ronnie James Dio said once, “You need to find a way that you can sing forever”. He was a very wise man, he didn’t use high notes all the time, what he did was singing in a comfortable way and a metal way. That’s the point for me. I want to go in this kind of direction with my singing – more natural to my kind of voice, within a more comfortable range. That’s why I decided to sing this way most of the time from now on. Of course, I can sing high notes, I can perfectly sing high notes, but it will happen only sometimes, when I need to sing old songs at concerts”.

Almah announces guitarist Paulo Schroeber’s departure
Brazilian metallers ALMAH issue the following statement about the departure of the guitarist Paulo Schroeber due to health problems:
“Dear ALMAh friends and fans!
I think many of you already know about health problems that our brother, partner and member of the band, Paulo Schroeber, has recently faced. Due to these problems we had to call another guitarist to replace him at the latest ALMAH shows during Motion tour, but we always hoped that Paulo would be with us again very soon.
Unfortunately, a very serious heart problem made it impossible for our friend to continue his long-termed works, and we received his message that he had to leave the band! All of us became extremely sad but at the same moment we respect his decision to stay with his family at such a delicate moment.
For us, there remains only one thing: to keep public our eternal support, love and, most of all, gratitude for all the great moments we had together! We are very happy to know that his treatment is going on and the diagnosis is positive. The band is here with all its energy and now it’s even stronger because we do what we love and ‘cos we respect all the dedication of our friend Paulo over these years of hard work and fun.
The name of new ALMAh’s guitarist will be revealed soon, together with announcement of new ways of the band and tour dates for 2012. The band’s “philosophy” to create music for the sake of music in friendship and fun will always be our priority.
Thanks for all,”
Edu Falaschi
Paulo Schroeber recorded two studio albums with ALMAh, “Fragile Equality” (2008) and “Motion” (2011).

ALMAH To Release Third Album Via AFM Records

Formed by Angra vocalist Edu Falaschi over a decade ago, Brazilian metal act ALMAH have transformed from simply a side-project of the top-tier power metal act into an expansive entity of its own volition, language and identity. AFM Records now confirms that Motion, ALMAH’s third full-length, will be available to North American fans on January 17th, 2012.
ALMAH’s first two studio albums — Almah (2007) and Fragile Equality (2008) — were accepted well both by fans and media alike. With Edu Falaschi being known for choosing excellent musicians and production crew for the creation of their releases, the lineup on Motion will not disappoint. Falaschi’s Angra bandmate Felipe Andreoli joins on bass, as well as Berklee-graduated guitar wizard Marcelo Barbosa, powerhouse drummer Marcelo Moreira and a master of fast solos and gargantuan riffs, Paulo Schroeber.
The musicians tread into more modern territory while keeping ALMAH’s recognizable style intact on Motion. Recorded with 7-string guitars, tuned a half-step down (B flat), while the rhythm guitars were layered four times, the band has reached their optimal balance of heavy, modern metal and beautiful, catchy melodies. Edu Falaschi has already stated that this album is probably the best one in his whole discography. Motion was recorded at Norcal Studios in São Paulo, Brazil produced by Falaschi and Andreoli, and mixed and mastered at Split Second Sound Studios in Amsterdam by Jochem Jacobs (Textures). The cover artwork was created by Edu Falaschi himself with his iPhone, using some applications to create that motion effect, which was later edited by Felipe Andreoli.

Motion Track Listing:
1. Hypnotized
2. Living And Drifting
3. Days Of The New
4. Bullets On The Altar
5. Zombies Dictator
6. Trace Of Trait
7. Soul Alight
8. Late Night In ´85
9. Daydream Lucidity
10. When And Why
