Aeon’s Black from Swedish death metal henchmen AEON is now out.

Recorded at Empire Studio in Östersund, Sweden, engineered, mixed and mastered by Ronnie Björnström at Garageland Studios, Aeon’s Black has been reaping praise from critics domestically and abroad. Revolver Magazine calls Aeons Black “one of the best death metal albums of 2012,″ The Metal Review dubs it the band’s “heaviest and most brutal album to date,” All Music Guide commends AEON’s fiery brand of “…punishing, blood-curdling, Christ-baiting death metal…” while About.com crowns it, “a ferocious beast and is a thoroughly awesome death metal album.” The Metal Observer tags the 50-minute long monster, “a masterpiece of goddamned death metal,” while Infernal Masquerade adds, “if you are in the market for some crushing neck-breaking death metal, this is one release you don’t want to miss. AEON is at the top of their game and they have more than proved it on Aeons Black.”

Today, the second in a series of studio clips from AEON‘s blazing Aeons Black recording session has been posted to the band’s Official Landing Page. Sneak a peek at drummer Arttu Mallki punishing his kit for what would become the gargantuan Aeons Black full-length.

Already called “one of the best death metal albums of 2012″ in a 4/5 review from Revolver Magazine, Aeons Black is set for release in North America on November 20, 2012 through Metal Blade Records. Aeons Black was recorded at Empire Studio in Östersund, Sweden, engineered, mixed and mastered by Ronnie Björnström at Garageland Studios and features striking cover art by Kristian “Necrolord” Wåhlin (Bathory, At The Gates, Dissection, Emperor, et al).

Aeons Black is the follow up to 2010′s Path of Fire, which About.com called “a juicy slab of prime-cut blasphemous death metal,” that, according to Ultimate-Guitar.com, “doesn’t let up in terms of insanely fast tempos, chugging guitars, and demonic vocals,” landing the album an 8 out of 10 score. AEON is already confirmed for a UK tour which will take place in January 2013 with more dates for Europe and North America in the works. Prepare yourselves…

AEON’s new video for ‘Forgiveness Denied’ premiers exclusively on MetalUnderground.com!

AGOURA HILLS, Calif. – June 18, 2010 – The technical death metal band AEON, who formed in Östersund, Sweden in 1999, are pleased to release their first production video from the band’s new release Path of Fire that just dropped in the states on May 25. The video made for the track Forgiveness Denied was directed, filmed and edited by Standard Film Team Umeå HB and was shot in April in two different locations; band scenes being filmed in Östersund, Sweden and the storyline in Umeå, Sweden. Guitarist Daniel Dlimi comments: “There have been a lot of scandals revealed lately, regarding priests (especially catholic ones) who have been abusing children sexually. In my world, there is nothing more innocent than a child, and the ones who abuse a child sexually will never be forgiven. In my opinion, they deserve to die a horrible, painful death. We want to dedicate this song/video to them, the filthy fucking priests who have laid a hand on a child sexually; we hate you, and want you dead.”
