Gemini 5 Lead Singer Tin Star
Gemini Five is a Swedish glam/sleaze act that released their second album BLACK ANTHEM just a few weeks ago. I hooked up with lead singer Tin Star and asked him to tell us a bit about the band. The band was interviewed a couple of months ago but here comes a more in-depth update about the guys.

Thanks to Wild Kingdom for supplying the promo pics.

Russell Allen of Allen/Lande
RUSSELL ALLEN

Here is a short interview that I’ve done with Russell Allen. He, together with Jorn Lande, has recently released the album THE BATTLE on Frontiers Records and I was interested in what two singers of such an excellent caliber had to offer the listener. So here’s what Russell had to say about the album and he was also kind enough to reveal what he’s up to in the near future.
Interviewed by: Anders Sandvall
Big thanks to Stefan at Atenzia for arranging the interview.
Also great thanks to Frontiers for lending pictures to me.

Judas Priest w/ Anthrax : 10/28/05 Konocti Harbor California

Judas Priest
with Anthrax
Konocti Harbor California 10/28/05
Pics and review by Swissman
I was very excited to see what I call the “oldschool” lineups of Anthrax and Priest. Due to the rain we left around 11:30 AM because yahoo maps told us that it would take at least 2 1/2 hours to drive up through the wine country and the windy hills. We got there after almost 3 1/2 hours due to the fact that there was traffic and we took a wrong turn, almost like straight out of the movie Deliverance.

Another business trip seemed to have worked out quite well. I was sent to Portland to work on some stuff. I called my friend Pest who immediately told me that Exodus was going to be in town that night and that we should go and see them. Of course I totally agreed..

Dream Theater in Helsinki

27.9 2005
Live at Ice Hall, HELSINKI
I don’t know if it’ s something to do with the recent revival of older metal/hard rock on the scene – initiated by the likes of Iron Maiden, Judas Priest and Mötley Crue but it seems that metal is more popular than ever. Almost every concert in Finland is selling pretty well and tonight Dream Theater had the sold-out crowd head banging in wild abandon for the duration of their two-and-a-half-hour set. It’s quite impressive when we talk about a band which plays heavy, complexed and hard-driving hybrid of metal and progressive rock.
