Swedish heavy metallers ENFORCER have been involved in a serious bus crash while on tour in their homeland.
The band, who are on tour in Europe supporting Australian hard rockers AIRBOURNE, were travelling from Oslo to Stockholm in a snowstorm at around 3:00am on the morning of 10th November and were near their hometown of Arvika when their vehicle skidded on ice, crossed over to the other side of the road and experienced a head-on collision with a snow-plough.
ENFORCER guitarists ADAM ZAARS and JOSEPH THOLL, bassist TOBIAS LINDQVIST and the band’s driver were battered and bruised, but miraculously all survived the crash with only minor injuries. A county police officer at the scene said, “They had a guardian angel”.
The band’s vehicle was destroyed in the accident, but their equipment, which was in a trailer attached to the vehicle, was luckily unscathed. ENFORCER frontman OLOF WIKSTRAND and drummer JONAS WIKSTRAND were travelling in a separate car at the time and were not involved in the crash.
The band have regretfully been forced to cancel their appearances tonight in Sweden and on the 12th and 13th November in Finland and will be using the time to recuperate and recover from the nerve-wracking incident. They will resume the tour on 16th November in Berlin, Germany.
ENFORCER have posted the following comment:
“We’re all alive and well but we’re really sorry to cancel the gigs in Stockholm, Tampere and Helsinki. We’re working really hard to get back on the road again soon!”

Cradle of Filth have just released their new album, Darkly, Darkly, Venus Aversa and Paul Allender from the band will be available to discuss the album in a live web chat on Monday 15th November at 8pm (UK time).
The chat will stream on the Peaceville Records Livestream channel (www.livestream.com/peaceville) and fans will be able to submit questions using their Facebook and Twitter accounts.
The ultimate fans’ edition of the album has now arrived and shall be shipping later this week. Click here for more details including a video showing the box and its contents.
Metal Hammer have described Darkly, Darkly, Venus Aversa as:
“Yet another sumptuous and spectacular eruption of gothic melodrama, perverted sonic schlock and balls-out extreme metal bombast… a dazzling and dastardly display of destructive devilry.”
And Rocksound have stated that the album has:
“a masterful control over the multi-faceted Cradle of Filth sound; brutal vocal gymnastics, skull-rattling double-kicks, symphonic flourishes, dramatic narrative and balls-out axe-slinging all make their presence known, but in a manner which routinely serves to bolster the coherency of the greater whole…this fucking slays.” 9/10

Veteran U.S. death metal act INCANTATION has announced a handful of special shows where it will perform its classic debut album, Onward To Golgotha, in its entirety. The Onward To Golgothadates are presented by Decibel magazine, which inducted the album into the publication’s “Hall Of Fame” in issue #52 (February 2009).
Originally released in 1991, Onward To Golgotha redefined the bounds of brutality and blasphemy for death metal and has long been heralded as one of the heaviest and most uncompromising metal albums in the world. Decibel also named Onward… one of the 20 best death metal albums of all time as well as one of the most important records in the genre.
Relapse Records will release a limited “Hall of Fame” edition vinyl version of Onward To Golgotha to coincide with these dates. The deluxe edition will be strictly limited to one pressing of 1,000 copies on colored vinyl and include an embroidered INCANTATION Onward To Golgotha patch and sticker. THE OCEAN: Anthropocentric Out Now On Metal Blade Records Tour In Support Of Anathema To Commence Today
Today Metal Blade Records unleashes Anthropocentric, the latest full-length from German atmospheric metal titans THE OCEAN, to North American shores. Anthropocentric serves as part two of the concept explored on the band’s well-received Heliocentric long player, released this past spring.
Anthropocentric‘s focus is on man and his place in the universe: At the center, as many fundamental Christians still claim today, or more likely a dust particle in its periphery? All lyrics are circle around this question and continue THE OCEAN‘s critique of Christianity.
At the base of the album are three songs with the titles “The Grand Inquisitor I, II and III.” These songs have been inspired by the chapter of the same title in Fyodor Dostoyevsky’s novel The Brothers Karamasov: A conversation between the brothers Ivan, an atheist, and Alyoscha, a monk. Ivan tells Alyoscha the story of a Second Coming of Christ in 16th century Sevilla. According to this parable, Jesus is arrested by the Catholic inquisition. The grand inquisitor who interrogates Jesus casts a new light on the legend of the temptation of Christ: He reproaches Jesus with having betrayed humanity and having deprived man of salvation by offering him freedom. The conversation between Ivan and Alyoscha mirrors, to some degree, the conversation between the grand inquisitor and Christ and raises more questions than it answers.
Commented guitarist Robin Staps: “We’re looking forward to our new album Anthropocentric being released in North America. Anthropocentric gets by without the big orchestrations of Heliocentric — the focus is on the core of this band: drums, bass, guitars, vocals. It is the most ‘integrated’ album we’ve done so far and everybody has been much more involved than ever before. This album is an effort that really represents this band as of where we stand right now, fall of 2010, and we are more satisfied with it than with any other album we’ve done. Lyrically, Anthropocentric is continuing the critique of Christianity that we begun with Heliocentric.”
In related news, the band kicks off another European tour today supporting legendary UK doom/atmospheric rockers Anathema. Confirmed dates include:

GWAR’s remorseless 25th Anniversary rolls towards it’s bitter conclusion as perhaps its most significant milestone is reached–the release of the band’s self-proclaimed “heaviest yet” album, GWAR’s “Bloody Pit of Horror”, out today on Metal Blade records. After a full on media onslaught for the past four months, and now in the midst of a three-month tour, your Lords and Masters are finally allowing us to experience “The Bloody Pit of Horror” in its full form.
“This album is the follow-up to last year’s “Lust in Space”, and the capper of our 25th Anniversary Slay-a-Bration…which I am pretty sure everybody is sick of hearing about,” said GWAR lead singer and still FOX correspondent, Oderus Urungus. “This record is a throwback to an age when bands actually gave a shit about their fans and released albums pretty much once a year. When a “new album” was actually a series of original compositions instead of a bunch of regurgitated re-mixes. And the title, though stolen, is an homage to a time when horror films were made with style and care, not driven by corporation whoredom and CG trickery. It is a hateful attack upon all things alive. It is the new GWAR album.”
“Finally the day has come…and we shall see if the human slaves of GWAR are truly worthy of that title. For this is much more than a mere album, this is a chance for the human race to break the bloody chains of bondage and join their masters, GWAR, in our quest to subject the entire universe to complete degradation. Our new album has finally been let loose upon the world and all you have to do to join our zombie army is buy the record, get your ass to a GWAR show, and join us in the “Bloody Pit of Horror”!
Want to listen to “Bloody Pit of Horror” first and then go buy it? Want to listen to the record online after you bought it already? Go to http://music.aol.com/new-releases-full-cds/ and listen to a streaming version of the album as part of AOL Music’s Full Album Listening Party.

The video was shot on location at The National in Richmond, VA by acclaimed Fangoria Director Dave McKendry. Check out the video at FANGORIA.com.
