Neuronia: New Video and Releasing Plans

December 15th, 2010
by EvilG

Polish metallers Neuronia present a brand new video for „Slipping into Oblivion”. The Warsaw band have also revealed their releasing plans for the upcoming months.

The clip promotes the latest Neuronia album “Follow the White Mouse”, released in March 2010. The footage was shot on October 19 in Warsaw’s Metal Cave club. Production was handled by the TwojTeledysk.pl company. The video was directed by Wojciech “Thom” Hołysz, guitarist and founding member of Poznań death metal horde Empty Playground. You can check the video on Youtube:

Similarly to the track’s lyrics, the clip follows the subjects of losing one’s identity in a big city, the rat race and consumption-centered way of life. – In a big city, life often goes in an inhumanly fast pace – career and making money become the most important things, everything else is just background – explains the band’s singer and lyricist Maciek “Tektur” Nawrot. – People often make the wrong choices in these circumstances, often very dramatic ones, then they lose themselves and all the really important things – their identity, thoughts about their loved ones, their roots, who they really are. This song is a reminder that says: never forget who you are, about your dignity and your dreams – he adds.

Together with the premiere of the new clip, Neuronia reveal their releasing plans for the upcoming months. The band is securing a licensing deal for the latest album with Ukraine’s Metal Scrap Records. The label will release “Follow The White Mouse” on the Eastern European market, and will also take care of worldwide distribution through its partner companies.

Neuronia will also release a four-track EP – most probably in Feb-Mar of 2011. The band has stopped all concert activities until the end of 2010 to concentrate on preparing new material for this record.

The “Follow the White Mouse” can be bought in digital form through many popular retailers, including iTunes, Amazon and 7digital, and on Neuronia’s BandCamp profile (http://neuronia.bandcamp.com).

RHAPSODY OF FIRE: ADDITIONAL COMMENTARY ON THE COLD EMBRACE OF FEAR

December 15th, 2010
by EvilG
RHAPSODY OF FIRE 'The Cold Embrace Of Fear – A Dark Romantic Symphony'

RHAPSODY OF FIRE 'The Cold Embrace Of Fear – A Dark Romantic Symphony'

Italian composer, guitarist, producer and teacher Luca Turilli offers commentary on the band’s upcoming release, The Cold Embrace Of Fear – A Dark Romantic Symphony, scheduled for North American release on January 25th, 2011:

“Essentially it is a long huge song, sounding very symphonic, full of orchestral sections that are very soundtrack oriented with narrations and spoken parts.  More than in other cases, we tried to create a real movie atmosphere with very dynamic musical results.  You will just need to close your eyes and explore those new emotional dimensions we wrote the music for.”

Produced by Luca Turilli and Alex Staropoli, the tracklisting for The Cold Embrace Of Fear – A Dark Romantic Symphony is as follows:

Act I: The Pass Of Nair-Kaan

Act II: Dark Mystic Vision

Act III: The Ancient Fires Of Har-Kuun

Act IV: The Betrayal

Act V: Neve Rosso Sangue

Act VI: Erian’s Lost Secrets

Act VII: The Angels’ Dark Revelation

RHAPSODY OF FIRE’s latest full-length studio album, The Frozen Tears Of Angels, was mixed and mastered by Sascha Paeth (EDGUY, AVANTASIA, EPICA) and debuted on the following international album charts following their European release: Italy #31; Germany #33; Switzerland #39; Japan #41; Austria #58 and Belgium #96.

RHAPSODY OF FIRE are: Luca Turilli on guitar, Alex Staropoli on keyboards, Fabio Lione on vocals, Patrice Guers on bass, Dominique Leurquin on guitar, and Alex Holzwarth on drums.

Italian composer, guitarist, producer and teacher Luca Turilli offers additional commentary explaining the lyrics on The Cold Embrace Of Fear – A Dark Romantic Symphony and its connection to The Frozen Tears Of Angels.  The Cold Embrace Of Fear will be released in North America on January 25th, 2011.

“After the long journey to the icy, frozen northlands at the borders of the known world, while facing concrete natural obstacles and the inner-demons lying in the depths of their conscience, the five main characters reach the ancient gothic fortress of Har-Kuun, the real monument of evil trapped between ice and snow, the mystic place where Erian’s book could be finally found.  The Cold Embrace Of Fear tells about the entrance of those bravehearts in the ancestral world of Har-Kuun and the dramatic search for the holy book of the angels, the only possible way to understand something more about the dark secret threatening the whole known world.  Also, in this case, I liked to create particular ‘bridges’ connecting the new chapter of the saga with our modern life on the basis of symbolism, ancient wisdom, and spiritual evolution.  To someone who knows something about modern psychology and the study of the different ‘selves,’ the hidden geometries and gothic labyrinths of Har-Kuun will reveal themselves very clearly.”

Produced by Luca Turilli and Alex Staropoli, the tracklisting for The Cold Embrace Of Fear – A Dark Romantic Symphony is as follows:

Act I: The Pass Of Nair-Kaan

Act II: Dark Mystic Vision

Act III: The Ancient Fires Of Har-Kuun

Act IV: The Betrayal

Act V: Neve Rosso Sangue

Act VI: Erian’s Lost Secrets

Act VII: The Angels’ Dark Revelation

LAZARUS A.D. release first single, “The Ultimate Sacrifice”

December 14th, 2010
by EvilG
LAZARUS AD - Black Rivers Flow

LAZARUS AD - Black Rivers Flow

“Black Rivers Flow” set to come out February 1, 2011 – “The Ultimate Sacrifice” currently #12 on SiriusXM Liquid Metal’s Devil’s Dozen countdown.

AGOURA HILLS, Calif. – December 14, 2010 – Midwest thrashers LAZARUS A.D. have released their first single, The Ultimate Sacrifice, via myspace and youtube after having premiered exclusively this past week on SiriusXM’s Liquid Metal. The highly anticipated album, Black Rivers Flow, was recorded in July and August 2010 at Belle City Sound with Chris Djuricic and was mixed and mastered by James Murphy at Safehouse Production.

The Ultimate Sacrifice can be heard now on metalblade.com/lazarusad with pre-order packages coming soon!

Track listing for Black Rivers Flow:

1-American Dreams

2-The Ultimate Sacrifice

3-The Strong Prevail

4-Black Rivers Flow

5-Casting Forward

6-Light A City (Up In Smoke)

7-Through Your Eyes

8-Beneath the Waves of Hatred

9-Eternal Vengeance

Bassist and lead vocalist Jeff Paulick comments; “First off, I have to say we are incredibly proud of Black Rivers Flow. It’s been three and a half years since we recorded our last album and we’ve grown a lot since then. During the writing process for Black Rivers Flow we were dealing with great personal tragedies. We found a way to draw strength from those tragedies and use it as inspiration to write what we feel is an incredibly more sound record than the last. On Black Rivers Flow, everyone stepped up their game; the riffs are heavier, the choruses catchier, and the vocals have improved and been diversified tenfold. We are on a mission to show the world that we are a force to be reckoned with and aren’t thinking about a trend, we’re thinking long term. I think our fans will hear these songs and be blown away. The energy and power this time around is undeniable, and we hope the reaction amongst the community reflects just that.”

December 14th, 2010
by EvilG

Vancouver thrash metallers Titans Eve announce they are officially releasing their debut album  “The Divine Equal” on February 1st, 2011. The album features 11 epic metal tunes influenced by themes from the famous 17th century poem “Paradise Lost” by poet John Milton and The Book of Genesis (the first book of the Hebrew Bible and the Christian Old Testament).

“We wanted to emphasize on these themes and relate them to life’s everyday struggles, all while staying true to our personal interpretations of metal. We feel by combining these elements, we have created an interesting concept album for our fellow metal heads to discover.” comments vocalist / guitarist Brian Gamblin.

The Divine Equal can be pre-ordered on Titans Eve bandcamp link here, in addition to a free download of their track “Becoming The Demon” at the following link here on PureGrainAudio.com.

Track Listing:
1. Mourning Star
2. Judgement
3. Becoming The Demon
4. Into the Fire
5. Serpent Rising
6. Tides Of Doom
7. Dusk
8. Nightfall
9. Living Lifeless
10. Searching for Nothing
11. The Divine Equal

Titans Eve came together when brothers Brian (guitar/vocals) and Kyle Gamblin (guitar/backup vocals) decided to start their own musical project in 2008 after the departure of previous projects. The line up of Titans Eve was completed with the recruitment of Jesse Hord (bass) and Casey Ory (drums), from there the Vancouver-based band have set out to create honest, powerful modern metal and have repeatedly piled into the “Titan Train” (i.e. their 2007 Ford E-350 van) and traveled across Canada, bringing their music to as great an audience as possible. They’ve played over 80 shows in the past year and a half and 2011 will see them travel further than ever before as tour dates will be announced for Canada, the U.S. and Europe.

January 8, 2011 – Fernridge Hall – Langley, BC w/ Auroch, Tribune, Tyrannicide (All Ages)

San Diego, CA’s AS I LAY DYING will hit the ground running in 2011 with a full US tour. The dates start on February 12th at the Aggie Theater in Ft. Collins, CO and wrap up March 18th in Sacramento, CA. The tour will hit cities that the band hasn’t been to in years and cities the band has yet to visit, including: Green Bay, WI, Pensacola, FL, Burlington, VT and much more. The full schedule is below and on asilaydying.com and thepowerlessrise.com. This is a great opportunity for fans to see AS I LAY DYING in an intimate club-setting, which should make for some insane circle pits and stage dives!

The package includes The Powerless Rise CD and 12″ vinyl picture disc, The Powerless Rise DVD documentary w/in studio footage and interviews + extras: guitar, bass, and drum tabs featuring Jordan Mancino, Nick Hipa, Phil Sgrosso and Josh Gilbert, song stems for “Upside Down Kingdom,” expanded recording outtakes, a hardcover book w/ lyrics, photos and editorial from the band, 12″ X 12″ lithograph, 3 guitar picks, mini drumstick keychain, As I Lay Dying patch, As I Lay Dying window cling and metal As I Lay Dying logo pin. Released earlier this year, The Powerless Rise debuted on the Billboard Top 200 chart at #10 and marks yet another major feat for the metal band that refuses to compromise their sound to conform to the mainstream as they continue to deliver heavy and melodic music to their fans around the world.

“Reborn In Sleaze: A Tribute To Dave Lepard”: update and samples online

December 14th, 2010
by EvilG

A little update about “Reborn In Sleaze: A Tribute To Dave Lepard”: sadly, some bands have abandoned the idea of taking part to the tribute cd. But we want to inform you that we found substitutes.

A short five tracks sample has been posted online on Street Symphonies RecordsYouTube channel:

The bands involved will be fully revealed some time in the near future, but in the clip you can hear two “new acquisitions”: Pompei Nights, a young and talented band from Sweden, who recently signed with Street Symphonies, performing “Back On Trakk”, and Speed Stroke (the new project of ex Johnny Burning’s guitar players Niko and D.B.) playing “Riot In Everyone”. Also in the clip it is possible to listen to Skull Daze (“Queen Obscene/69 Shots”), Cyanide 4 (“Out Of Line”) and Blackrain (“Lost Horizons”).

“Reborn In Sleaze: A Tribute To Dave Lepard” is scheduled for a late spring 2011 release.

“…this is some of the best Oldschool Thrash Metal I’ve heard in a long time…It’s incredible how an unsigned band like this manages to sound better than lots of signed bands.”
