Brazilian metallers Almah announce a new release “Motion Playback Band”. Every song of this album now is available as four backing tracks where one of the instruments or vocal part is missing: there are tracks without solo guitars, bass or drums and karaoke version.

‘Motion Playback Band’ album, the first of the series, is already available as a worldwide digital release on iTunes, Amazon, CD Baby and other stores. It presents all the songs from the third Almah album ‘Motion” (2011) specially re-mixed and re-mastered for this project. The samples can be heard here: http://www.cdbaby.com/cd/almah16/

Almah frontman and founder Edu Falaschi comments: “We release these backing tracks for our fans who have always wanted to play with Almah to practice with professional materials or just to have fun! For example, a bass player can download a version without bass and play along the track! A singer can use karaoke version etc. Right now we are preparing songs from our 2d album ‘Fragile Equality’ to give you more news soon!”

Last year Almah released its fourth album Unfold via Scarlet Records. The material was recorded in São Paulo, Brazil and mixed and mastered by Damien Rainaud at Darth Mader Music in Los Angeles, California. In September 2013 the band took part in the world famous Rock In Rio Festivaland in November 2013 Almah played European co-headlining tour with Secret Sphere (Italy). The band was established in 2006 as a solo-project of Edu Falaschi (Angra’s singer at the time). After the release of the debut album ‘Almah’, the solo-project turned into a permanent band that launched another two records, ‘Fragile Equality’ (2008) and ‘Motion’ (2011). In May 2012 Falaschi announced his departure from Angra to concentrate on Almah as his main band.

Missy – Guitar from THE KICK-ASS PREMIERE OF “SEX MACHINE” BY BRUTE FORCZ

Some things in life just seem to go together, for example, peanut butter and jelly, hot dogs and hamburgers, baseball and apple pie, and of course heavy metal music and porn. And speaking of heavy metal music and porn, the Los Angeles metal band, BRUTE FORCZ, has added to that combination. The group, featuring ex professional wrestlers, Slammer and Jammer, have just released their first video for the song, Sex Machine, from their debut album, “Out For Blood”. The video includes super hot adult actresses, Ava Devine and Missy Martinez. The girls do their best to sensor the video, shaking, bouncing and exposing every boob, nipple and butt cheek possible. ( If you are not familiar with Missy and Ava, make sure you look them up.) Read the rest of this entry »

Analizator & The Grinding of Novi Sad

Analizator & The Grinding of Novi Sad

by Ryan Bartek

 analizator logo

As the blistering cauldron of extreme metal madness that was the Brutal Assault Festival 2013 came to a close, I again was left in a random European city unsure where to tread next. In the near aftermath of this savage 100 band, 5 day Czech Republic festival, I was aware that I could go virtually anywhere. Greece made sense, but it was a boiling hot 100+ degrees for the next month straight. Romania seemed too titanic an odyssey, and I just wasn’t feeling a return to Northern Europe. Motörhead cancel spring European tour

January 24th, 2014
by EvilG

An official statement reads as follows:

Motorhead

Motorhead

“Many concerted, diligent and focused efforts were made by founding member, and international icon, Lemmy Kilmister to deal with a range of health issues relating to diabetes. While there has been undoubted progress, Lemmy and the band were advised by doctors that it was still too soon to resume full touring activities, and so for the good of the future, the band and Lemmy reluctantly agreed to cancel.

“No-one is hurting more over this than Lemmy, and he feels the aggravation and inconvenience of every ticket, and every method of transportation, already paid for by loyal fans in anticipation of the tour. Being a road warrior of over 50 dedicated, non-stop years, it is equally distressing for him to be unable to occupy the top lounge of the trusty tour bus (his spiritual home) but Lemmy recognises that his long-term health must win.

“It goes without saying that Lemmy profusely apologises for inconveniences caused, but he does want everyone to know that he is continuing on the road to a full recovery, and that the prognosis long-term is very good.

“Fans have shown tremendous support for Lemmy, and it has meant so much to him. As he told Rolling Stone: ‘Oh, man, the fans were unbelievable when I got sick. No bitching. It was all, take your time, get better, don’t worry, we’ll wait for you, get well.’

“Rome was not built in a day… like Lemmy’s health. But there is some strong light at the end of the tunnel here. We thank you so very much for your continued love, support and understanding.”

PANTERA’s Far Beyond Driven Celebrates 20th Anniversary

January 23rd, 2014
by Celtic Bob

Two-Disc Anniversary Edition of Pantera’s Metal Milestone
Includes Newly Remastered Version Of Original Album,
Plus A Live Performance From The 1994 Monsters of Rock Festival

Available From Rhino On March 25

Pantera_FBD_Cover

Pantera reached a major milestone in 1994 when the legendary metal band’s seventh studio album, Far Beyond Driven, debuted at #1 on the Billboard Top 200, becoming the fastest-selling album of the group’s career and its second consecutive platinum release. Not only a commercial success, the album also earned positive reviews around the world for the beautiful brutality of its all-out sonic assault.

This year marks the 20th anniversary of that landmark album and Rhino is celebrating with a special two-disc version that includes a newly remastered version of the album, along with a live performance from the 1994 Monsters of Rock Festival. FAR BEYOND DRIVEN: 20TH ANNIVERSARY EDITION will be available on March 25.  A digital version will also be available.

Following the breakthrough success of 1992’s Vulgar Display of Power – which has since been certified double platinum – singer Philip Anselmo, guitarist Dimebag Darrell, bassist Rex Brown and drummer Vinnie Paul returned in March 1994 with Far Beyond Driven. Following its #1 debut, FAR BEYOND DRIVEN remained on the Billboard album chart for seven more months and many still regard it as the heaviest album to ever top the chart.

Its 12 tracks represented a continuation of the previous album’s relentless musical onslaught with hard-hitting tracks like the first single “I’m Broken” as well as the mosh-pit classics “5 Minutes Alone” and “Slaughtered.” Another standout track was the group’s swirling acoustic cover of Black Sabbath’s “Planet Caravan,” which became a live favorite when Pantera hit the road to support the album later that year.

Fans already familiar with FAR BEYOND DRIVEN are in for a treat with the second disc of the 20th Anniversary Edition. Dubbed FAR BEYOND BOOTLEG – LIVE FROM DONINGTON ’94, the disc contains Pantera full live set recorded at the Monsters of Rock Festival in Donington, England on June 4, 1994. The 40-minute show comprises nine tracks taken from the band’s three most recent albums including: “Use My Third Arm” and “Strength Beyond Strength” from Far Beyond Driven, “Walk,” “Mouth For War,” and “This Love” off of Vulgar Display of Power, plus the title track from Cowboys from Hell as well as the live staple melding “Domination” and “Hollow.”
