Following their originally scheduled support slot on the recently cancelled Machine Head tour, Detroit, Michigan’s BATTLECROSS will be heading back out on the road next month for more than two dozen headlining dates through North America. Dubbed the Winter Warriors tour, the trek will kick off on November 26th in Grand Rapids, Michigan and conclude on December 30th in Worcester, Massachusetts. Support will come from Wretched and War Of Ages.
In honor of the US Armed Forces, this Veterans Day BATTLECROSS will make a limited number of tickets available to VET TIX so that local members of the military may attend a show in their city at no cost. The band will also be donating a portion of the funds generated from sales of a limited edition tour shirt to a local veteran’s charity, and choose a veteran in each market for a VIP experience. On Veteran’s Day (November 11th) fans can nominate a friend or family member who has served our country and share their story and photo, with a member of the military being chosen to win a guitar and more at the end of the tour. On the same day, the band will also bring back merchandise from their first Metal Blade album, Pursuit Of Honor, in their official merch store, with a portion of the proceeds being set aside to benefit the Wounded Warriors Project, a veterans service organization that offers a variety of programs, services and events to wounded veterans of the military following the events of September 11th, 2001.

Guitarist Hiran Deraniyagala adds: “We won’t let a cancelled tour stop BATTLECROSS from performing for our fans and the Winter Warriors Tour with Wretched and War Of Ages is the perfect way to remind our fans that you keep moving forward when challenges come up in life. Who knows perseverance more than those who bravely serve our country and we are honored to dedicate this tour to them. We are a band that stands for ideals such as loyalty, honor, sacrifice and perseverance through our lyrics and how we conduct ourselves, and hope the tour will be a fitting tribute to every service member who attends. We look forward to raging with our fans who serve or have served in the US Armed Forces and thank them again for their service.”

Through the following statement we want to thank Giancarlo Farjat (vocals) and Pablo Ollervides (bass) for their dedication and professionalism during the time they were part of Split Heaven. Without you, among other things, the release of the third album “The Devil’s Bandit” and the third successful European Tour would not have been possible; certainly, you guys are part of our history. Carlo, Armand and Tomas, are composing the 4th Split Heaven album and we keep the door open for new members who want to be part of the tough but always gratifying, road of heavy metal. From this moment we are receiving demos for bassists and vocalists who might be interested on joining us, please send your email to: firstname.lastname@example.org
German metal legends Accept are no strangers in Metal-Rules.com. We’ve always been extremely supportive for the band and we’ve had numerous articles and interviews released during the past years and here’s another one for you to read. The band released their latest opus BLIND RAGE in August. The critically acclaimed album debuted at number one on the German charts, making it the band’s first number one debut in their career and it’s seen great success all around the world. Accept opened the “Blind Rage” tour in Sweden in late September. A few days later I met the band’s founding member and guitarist Wolf Hoffmann in Tornio prior their second show in Finland. It’s time to talk, again, with Wolf about current things and dig into the past a bit as well. Read on!

The album, which was recorded during winter 2014 and produced by Samu Oittinen at Fantom Studio, Ylöjärvi, Finland, is a manifestation of Arkadia’s relentless attitude since its foundation in 2003 and the journey to ever-larger stages.
SPIRAL MOTION, the new solo album by Andy Martongelli, will be released on 5th November. Andy unveiled some amazing guest musicians that played some killer solos on his new record.
Michael Angelo Batio (Nitro)
Dave Reffet (Guitar World Magazine)
Alex Stornello (Angels & Demons)
Dave Martone played a great solo on the song “Bite The Bullet” while the other three guests are featured on the song “Cyber-Hammer of the Gods“, a fiery-guitar-shredding-celebration of Metal guitar! Read the rest of this entry »
London metallers SAVAGE MESSIAH are due to kick off the first show of their UK tour today – Saturday, 25th October.
The tour starts off at The Cellars in Oxford, before continuing with more shows around the UK in November. SAVAGE MESSIAH will be supported by label mates THE MORE I SEE on select UK dates, before taking a break for the holidays and then heading out on a European trek in the new year with Swedish melodic death metallers AMON AMARTH.
The band comments:“This is definitely a dream come true for us, because, since day one, Dimension Zero has been one of our major influences, as well as “old” In Flames. So, have the privilege and opportunity to jam and get to know the guy who wrote so many great songs, riffs and iconic albums is unbelievable. We had so much fun! What a great artist and down to earth person he is. Skål för fan!”
San Diego, California based blues-metal rockers SEVENTRAIN, which features former members of CAGE, 24-7 SPYZ and TOURNIQUET, have officially started pre-production on their second album.
The bands drummer, Joel Maitoza, states that they currently have the music written for six new songs and are hoping to include twelve tracks on the new full length disk. The band is also planning to record a couple of cover tunes which they will release as singles just after the first of the year. The band is shooting for a release date in late spring of 2015.
Today, California’s favorite death-laden horror hellions, EXHUMED, will take their sonic debauchery to the streets for a Fall run of US live invasions with extreme metal technicians Carcass and manic death thrashers Noisem. Set to commence in San Diego tonight at Brick By Brick, the Inked In Steel Tour 2014 will conquer nearly two dozen municipalities with additional audio infiltrations from death metal legends Obituary and Macabre on select dates. From there EXHUMED will return to Europe for further live devastation alongside Aborted, Origin and Miasmal.See confirmed shows below.
Comments guitarist/vocalist Matt Harvey, “We’ve been sequestered in our grimy rehearsal room, taking time out of our busy schedules of soul-crushing day jobs and DUI classes to tighten up our set for our upcoming US and European runs, and we’re getting seriously psyched for them! Our newest member, Matt ‘Slime’ Ferri is working out great on bass and vocals and we’ve got some killer new elements for our show that should make it an unsafe and insane way to spend your evening. See you in the Gore Zone, mutants!”
Finnish heavy metal sextet BATTLE BEAST have announced Unholy Savior as the name for their third studio album, which will be released in North America in early 2015.
“Music-wise, the songs have been expanded to a wider area as an effort to call out emotions close to those I myself had during the times of birth of these songs,” states BATTLE BEAST guitarist & backing vocalist Anton Kabanen about the new album’s musical offerings. “I thirst to go further as a human being and the music on this album represents a part of the ongoing spiritual journey – that’s what I tend to I call it – which is my road onward.”
“Like always, I wrote songs about the ‘Berserk’ series as well. The reason is that I can strongly relate to that, especially to certain characters and to their way of thinking and feeling,” Anton adds.
Ivar Bjørnson, guitarist, composer, and founding member of Norwegian progressive extreme metallers ENSLAVED, offers the first installment in the seven-part “Studio Of Mad Men” series shedding insight into the band’s upcoming as-yet-untitled thirteenth studio album, set for an early 2015 release.
