Sweden’s Heavy Metal legends HAMERFALL are back, and are not just celebrating 20 years of a successful career which inspired an entire genre and beyond, but they are also releasing their brand new and 10th studio album ‘Built To Last’ on November 4th 2016 on Napalm Records!
Today the band unleashed the first track by unveiling a lyric video for the song ‘The Sacred Vow’.
“Choosing a track for this was not easy, as we had several suitable songs. But “The Sacred Vow” is a pretty classic HammerFall tune and very representative of the album as a whole: speed, power, energy and with a catchy chorus that oozes of heavy metal spirit.” the band comments.
Get your full dose of HAMMERFALL’s heavy metal spirit, and tune into ‘The Scared Vow’ HERE courtesy of Decibel Magazine’s “Deciblog”
In times when finest steel was no longer considered the crowning of our beloved genre, HAMMERFALL came to the rescue and blew everyone away with melodic finesse and sincerity: longplayers such as ‘Glory To The Brave’ (1997) and ‘Renegade’ (2000) quickly established the Swedes as pioneers of a modern version of classic 80s metal – and they surely haven`t slowed down any since! ‘Built to Last’ – the tenth album in a career spanning twenty years – definitely boasts a programmatic title and brilliantly displays the strengths of the band. Highly melodic and swift anthems, aggressive lead guitars, choruses you`d kill your mother for and Joacim Cans` inimitable, steel-melting voice (recorded once more with James Michael / SIXX AM in L.A.) turn this oeuvre into one of the most consistent, exciting and passionate HAMMERFALLever recorded!
‘Built To Last’ will be released on November 4th 2016 on Napalm Records.
The track list for ‘Built To Last’ reads as follows:
1) Bring It!
2) Hammer High
3) The Sacred Vow
4) Dethrone And Defy
5) Twilight Princess
7) Built To Last
8) The Star Of Home
9) New Breed
10) Second To None
In support of their new album, HAMMERFALL will be hitting the road on a recently announced extensive European tour. Catch HAMMERFALL live, when they return to Europe on the following dates, presented by Metal Hammer, EMP, musiX and Metal.de. More dates to come!

Mixing raucous comedy with borderline-horrific theatrics, the only thing more petrifying than impending health problems resulting from years of overeating is a MAC SABBATH show. Show attendees should be prepared to partake in the fun – MAC SABBATH puts on a theatrical, multimedia stage show – complete with a smoking grill, laser-eyed clowns, bouncing burgers and many more magical surprises… basically anything and everything an unwary show-goer could ever want in their wildest dreams.
“… one of the most interesting bands to come around in a long, long time. They have Dead Kennedys’ outrageous sense of humor mixed with total irreverence and ornate style on top of a solid, engaging performance (even if the crowd is reluctant to respond). So while this whole thing was probably thought up after eating too many pot brownies, it is one of the most brilliant ideas in a long time.”
– Troy Farah, Phoenix New Times
“This is not a drill. Be it exchanging Black Sabbath’s “Paranoid” for a “Pair-a-buns” or “Iron Man” for a “Frying Pan,” these food-focused musical dweebs are cooking up something hot ‘n’ ready just for you.” – Alicia Lutes, MTV.com
“The most impressive-and terrifying-thing about Mac Sabbath is that they’re actually really good. Ronald channels his inner Ozzy onstage, from the manic jumping to the frantic hand waving…” – Bryan Rolli, Paste Magazine
“Even if the songs are dripping with onions and extra cheese, Mac Sabbath put on one righteous stage show, complete with smoke machines, gritty power chords, and endless head-banging.” – Chris Coplan, ConsequenceofSound.net

More about THREAT SIGNAL:
Since their critically acclaimed debut offering “Under Reprisal” (2006), which won the Canadian Recording Of The Year Award at the Hamilton Music Awards, THREAT SIGNAL became internationally recognised as one of the best modern acts in thrash metal. Their latest two installments, the intense “Vigilance” (2009) and reinvented “Threat Signal” (2011), have both met with unrelenting hype, with each entering the Billboard’s Top Heatseekers Chart, at #32 and #26.
THREAT SIGNAL came to life in 2003 and immediately began generating growing interest within the metal community. Their debut song “Rational Eyes” hit #1 on the international music website GarageBand.com and maintained that position for over two years. As a result, the young band signed to Nuclear Blast and started intensive touring, having performed with act’s such as Children Of Bodom, Soilwork, Motorhead, Saxon, Opeth, Kataklysm, Hatebreed, Epica and Arch Enemy.
THREAT SIGNAL combines the complexity of thrash metal, with a more contemporary groove sound involving technical rhythms, and melodic musical passages. The band is led by frontman Jon Howard (vocals), together with Travis Montgomery (guitars), Pat Kavanagh (bass) and Matt Perrin (guitars). Christian Olde Wolbers (ex-Fear Factory) is the band’s live bassist.

HUNTRESS was spawned from the preternatural union of Jill Janus with underground metal band Professor in Highland Park, CA (2010). Having rapidly released three critically acclaimed studio albums, the melodic heavy metal pentad fast tracked touring the world as a supporting act to metal heavyweights Lamb of God, Arch Enemy, Kreator, Amon Amarth, Killswitch Engage, Testament, Danzig and Dragonforce. Huntress thrives on thundering drums, heavy riffs, spectral solos and catchy choruses that come from the band’s musical concoction of melodic songwriting, occult science and bong rips. Huntress delivers a modern sonic attack while staying true to the roots of heavy metal, with a penchant for thrash, death and black metal. Huntress released their buzzworthy debut album Spell Eater in 2012 on Napalm Records. One year later in 2013, the critically-acclaimed Starbound Beast was a sophomore success. Lemmy Kilmister penned lyrics for “I Want To Fuck You To Death” which quickly became a radio hit. Their third album Static was released on September 25, 2015 to stellar reviews. Huntress continues to be driven by a fierce work ethic and a relentless tour schedule. This fall they’ll tour with Trivium and Sabaton, and make a stop in San Bernardino, CA to play Ozzfest on Sept 24.
In just three weeks, Swedish metal favorites SABATON – recognized globally by fans for their unique brand of historical battle-themed metal – will return to the United States for the 2016 “Silence In The Snow” Fall Tour with headliners Trivium and fellow special guest Huntress. This is a can’t-miss line-up! The tour begins on September 15 in Columbus, OH and comes to a close on October 21 st in Lake Buena Vista, FL. Pick up your tickets via www.sabaton.net/tour and see below for all current tour dates.
These dates will be the first time U.S. fans get to see SABATON performing with their new guitarist Tommy Johansson. The band issued a statement yesterday regarding the departure of their former guitarist Thobbe En glund and the addition of Johansson: “Thank you Thobbe, welcome Tommy! Our guitar player Thobbe did his final concert with us on last Saturday’s very emotional show at the SABATON OPEN AIR festival. Celebrating the release of our new album while saying goodbye to a great friend is lots of mixed feelings. But the future is bright since this was not nearly our last stand, from now on you will see Tommy Johansson playing guitars with SABATON and we all look forward to see you on the road!”
Johansson added:”For me to be a part of the SABATON family is a huge honor and I couldn’t be happier! The guys are awesome and among the nicest people you can meet. I’ve been following SABATON since 2005 when I saw them live for the first time and I have loved the band ever since, so when they asked me to join there was no hesitation. Although, they did ask me already back in 2012 but for many personal reasons it was not a good time for me to hit the road and give everything that was needed to the band. So I declined, but we have stayed in touch since then. I also want to say that Thobbe is a great guitarist and such a wonderful guy! My job is not to replace him, it’s to contribute to the band with my own style of guitar playing but of course also to keep his fans happy by playing his wonderful solos with pride. I look forward to meet you all on tour and to do what I love the most in life – to play heavy metal!”
Last Friday, August 19, SABATON released their latest album The Last Stand via Nuclear Blast. You can order your copy of the heavy metal masterpiece now in various physical formats, or digitally. For fans who want a little extra, don’t miss the “Tank Edition”.

On September 23rd, melodic death metal outfit Allegaeon will be releasing their fourth full-length, Proponent for Sentience! Today, the band has launched a full band play-through for the new album track, “Subdivisions” – an epic cover version of the Rush classic! Watch the video below:
After overwhelming interest from many fans around the world regarding “The return of JOHNNY CRASH”…the late ’80s rock band which I recorded with for Epic Records and toured with around the world. I have decided to run a KICKSTARTER campaign in order reunite the band and play a reunion show somewhere in Hollywood. The plan is to then film the show for all the fans who never got to see us live back in the day, or for those of you who did indeed see the magic and wish to see it again. I am asking you all to help me put this together. Much love to you all, and I’ll keep you updated on our progress!
Long live Rock ‘n’ Roll!!!
Following the successful of their debut EP, Breaking Out, the UK trio RavenEyewill be releasing theirfull length album, NOVA, worldwide on September 23 via Frontiers Music Srl.
Together, Oli Brown [guitar/vocals], Aaron Spiers [bass] and Gunnar Olsen [drums] worked at Water Music Studio in Hoboken, NJ for 25 days to create an eleven-track CD that pushed the band beyond its boundaries and into new ground. From the hard hitting riffs of “Inside”, “Madeline” and “Hero” to the raw sounds of “Wanna Feel You” and “Oh My Love’ to the stark reality of life and death in “Eternity.” Each song is filled with deep, bluesy grooves and infectious hooks that invoke giants such as Led Zeppelin and Soundgarden.
I caught up with both Oli and Aaron to talk about their latest CD release NOVA, the influences that drive them, and how hard work will pay off!
Montreal based glam metal band RUSTED has turned a family RV into a party van to introduce their new song, Hittin The Road. A video directed by Balbuzard Productions, filmed in Northern Quebec.
The five long haired musicians are riding a vintage vehicle, and catching several people on the road, including one of the heroes of their first video, air guitar business man, a cute jogger girl, and a strange Jägermeister demon, to end up throwing a rock’n’roll big party.
Hittin The Road should be a bonus track on Rusted live album, a project the band have been working on, scheduled for this winter. RUSTED is also writing new material for the new album, to follow Rock Patrol, expected in 2017.
