Tom Araya, live in South America, 2013

In recent month’s most of the talk about Slayer has been about what the future, after their current tour, may hold. We still don’t know exactly what that will be as the two remaining original band members (bassist/vocalist Tom Araya and guitarist Kerry King) both need to sit and talk about the future. In a new interview with Houston Press, Tom Araya said “I have my feelings and my thoughts, and I need to share them with Kerry. That’s what’s going to happen on this trip. We need to sit down and figure out what we want to do and how to move forward.

He further elaborated on the future with: “I don’t think Slayer will ever end because our music is going to live forever. Our music will always be accessible to anybody that wants to hear it. When you talk about it like that, I think we’ll be around for a really long time.”
