DAY THREE-JUNE 7TH, 2013 Dicken’s Pub – Monika Deviat
Day 3 at Dicken’s Pub was packed full of excellent bands. I started the night at Dicken’s with Calgary’s Truck, a progressive instrumental act that always delivers an eclectic and heavy set.
Just before their set ended I made the trek over to Broken City as mentioned on the previous page, taking advantage of the shuttle bus (thanks for the ride Renee!) and got back to Dicken’s just in time for a killer set by Gunface.
The Order of Chaos is always so entertaining on stage. All the band members are always interacting with the audience and each other while still delivering a tight set.
Endast from Montreal QC drove the furthest across Canada to make CMF. The band scheduled a tour across the country so they could make the festival and celebrate their friend’s and festival organizer’s birthday. Endast played a brutal death metal set and the crowd kept moshing and headbanging the entire time.
Disciples of Power ending off the night and it was another good choice for the last band of the evening as a large crowd stayed out late to catch the set. The Alberta legends tore apart the venue with their aggressive energy.
