Listening to the feel good, slick sounds of clutch without a beer in hand and relaxing sunshine is defiantly not what the crowd wanted off the cards tonight. Luckily for the Maryland four piece the weather has been glorious and the barrels have been flowing. As you entered the forum tonight a real sense of united community was seen within the crowd, as groups of families gathered by the merchandise stall and bar alike.

Without much hesitation, General [3.5/5]; a dynamic five piece from Coventry, are up first with the task of opening to a fairly empty at first Forum, however the crowd grew with the meatiness of the bands beats.

Playing a set primarily from latest release “where are your gods now” it’s clear that The band are not short of groovy/stoner  tunes, instantly claiming nods of approval at the crowd filled out more.

With their Kyuss mixed with Graveyard sounding licks and lyrics, it was fully apparent, that they are the perfect crowd warmers.

Guildford’s Sons of Icarus [3/5] open with a quick firing set, sounding like a more progressive version of Coheed and Cambria and Alter bridge combined with Wolfmother.

With a set of five songs, with tracks “Make amends” and “Falling” from upcoming, soon to be released album, short but still a swish and impressive collection of tracks that set the pace for the main act of the night.
