As it’s nearly time to pack our bags with festival essentials and make our way to Bloodstock Open Air Metal Festival 2013, we wanted to sum up why exactly we are so damn excited about it.
As most of you probably know already, Bloodstock Open Air Metal Festival is a four-day outdoor celebration of all things heavy metal. This year it takes place from August 8th to August 11th of 2013, in Catton Hall in Walton-on-Trent, Derbyshire England.
Most importantly, what makes Bloodstock one of the coolest festivals of 2013 is the excellent line-up that would please any kind of heavy metal fan, whether you’re into death metal, thrash metal, power metal or anything else. The three headliners over the weekend are going to be no one else but the living legend that is King Diamond, Slayer and Lamb Of God. And that is only the beginning…
Bloodstock Open Air 2013 gives you the chance to catch multiple performances by many bands on four different stages. Some of the other bands that will perform on the main ‘Ronnie James Dio Stage’ over the weekend include Accept, Anthrax, DevilDriver, Sabaton, Gojira, Firewind, Exodus, 3 Inches Of Blood and Irish thrashers Gama Bomb. The second ‘Sophie Lancaster Stage’ will host performances by the likes of Scar Symmetry, Wolfsbane, Last In Line, Xentrix, Power Quest, Sacred Mother Tongue, Evil Scarecrow and many more. ‘The New Blood Stage’ will be bringing together upcoming and talented artists, like Fahran, Karybdis, Amulet, The Infernal Sea and lots more. Last, but not least, is the ‘Jagermeister Stage’ that will offer you to catch performances by many artists, like Mitchel Emms – the wonder child fresh off The Voice TV show, the progressive metallers Betraeus and the absolutely nuts The Earls Of Mars.
That’s some serious festival line-up right there and all that for a ticket price that’s significantly smaller than to any other major UK festivals, like Download or Reading. A standard weekend ticket with included camping will cost you £132.00 only, so head over to http://www.bloodstock.uk.com and gratify yourself with a weekend spent outdoors with your mates drinking beer and listening to your favourite heavy metal bands live.
A special surprise is organised for those who enjoy skateboarding, as this year Bloodstock have teamed up with Attitude Clothing and Shiner Distribution to set up a skate ramp and give everyone the opportunity to skate alongside UK’s best skaters, so bring your decks and lets party.
This won’t be the first time Metal Rules team is going to report all the good stuff that went down at this year’s Bloodstock, so stay tuned and check out our reviews from previous years here.
If you would like to be a part of the best UK’s heavy metal festival this summer, and party with like minded people, head over to www.bloodstock.uk.com and order your tickets NOW!
