2012’s crop of Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees has brought with it a good share of controversy. Inductees Guns N’ Roses, Beastie Boys, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Laura Nyro, Donovan and The Small Faces leave out a number of acts that are now eligible, and whom many believed were more deserving than some of these names. (Rush and KISS are two of the most frequently-mentioned “snubs” in Hall of Fame history, though bands like Jethro Tull, Hall & Oates and Yes are also cited often by critics.)

This facebook group sums up the thoughts of most rock, hard rock, and metal fans. “If Madonna is admitted but Deep Purple and Alice Cooper aren’t then this organization shouldn’t have any claim to or rights to use the phrase “Rock and Roll”. Call it the “Pop Hall of Fame” and be done with it.”
