The most extreme of the extreme, and still a commercial success. In 2003, Cannibal Corpse from Buffalo became the first death metal-band whose combine record sales exceeded one million copies. Without ever compromising the concept that they have been known for since their 1990 debut “Eaten back to life”. That is pure, brutal and technical death metal featuring infernally growling vocals and lyrics that could serve as manuals for elaborate horror movie-murders. Their current studio album “Torture” is their twelfth, and just as brutal, musically and lyrically, as its predecessors. Now the time has come for one of the world’s most legendary death metal-acts to debut at SRF, to the delight of all the genres aficionados. And also for those of you who always wondered what that insane band from the classic Jim Carrey movie “Ace Ventura: Pet detective” sounds like in real life.
