After the operational success of Warriors Of Metal Fest IV Open Air on June 17th & 18th, 2011 featuring Thrash Metal bands for nearly half of the entire roster from the Midwest and the East Coast of the United States, Red Rocket Entertainment got in touch with the festival organizers to book the Metal Blade Records young guns of LaZarus AD to participate in the 5th anniversary show of the festival in 2012 and we were very happy to oblige! Based on a recent Metal Messiah Radio DJ Dave Softee’s Metal Meltdown interview, LaZarus AD will be working on new materials for a 3rd album release in 2012.
Back by popular demand, Vindicator, which impressed everybody in attendance and nearly sold out of all their merch at WOM Fest IV Open Air as the Ohio direct support to the Friday night headliner will be making a return trip to the festival stage in 2012.
James J. LaRue (ex-White Wizzard, ex-Holy Grail), now an axeman with this South Amherst, Ohio old school Thrash Metal band commented about his first WOM Fest Open Air experience in 2011: “Festivals I’ve played in the past: Download 2010, Wacken 2010 , Szene 2010, Philly Death Fest, New England Metal Fest. Most fun I’ve ever had at a fest in my entire life, ever: Warriors of Metal IV. Warriors of Metal actually keeps it true! Can’t wait for next year, line up sounds amazing. The site rules, beautiful area. Met some rad bands this year. All of us in Vindicator are very excited about our return appearance at Warriors of Metal Fest V Open Air in 2012.” Vindicator will be supporting their 3rd full length album entitled United We Fall slated for release in the spring of 2012 through Ireland’s Slaney Records.
The Brazilian Thrash Metal band, Machinage, which conducted a self-financed 3 week tour of USA around their appearance at Warriors Of Metal Fest IV Open Air will be only the 2nd of potentially 3 returning bands to the festival stage for the 2nd year in a row. They will be supporting their It Makes Us Hate 2011 debut album release, distributed
through Romulus-X Records.
