2010 was the year when this festival broke all its records and was totally sold out. I had never seen so many people at this festival during all the years I have attended it. The festival is held in a small town located a few miles outside Malmo and last year had the festival attracted 15000 paying visitors. Why there were so many people last year could depend on the fact that last year was the last time the festival was held at the same place as every year. A school building is now under construction and the festival area has been narrowed down heavily. Instead of the three stages, the organizers narrowed it down to two stages.

Acts that performed at this year’s edition of the festival was The Ark, Wilmer X, The Boppers, Melody Club and September amongst others on the big stage and on the small stage will band’s like Danne Stråhed, Anna Hertzman and Martin Prahl will play. This year it is 10 bands less that will play on this year edition of the festival. All of the artists are Swedish and there are a mix of rock, pop and music for the slightly older generation. My main interest this year was to see Mustasch, Electric Boys and The Poodles who was the three act that carried the hard rock torch high. At the beginning of May, the organizers said that 2000 less tickets was about to be released than normal and instead of throwing a three day festival there was going to be a three day festival without the annual warm-up party on the Thursday.

Check out the first day of the festival on the next page….
