Denver thrash battalion, HAVOK, are currently wrapping up a successful tour with Bay Area legends, Forbidden. The tour, which includes Revocation and White Wizzard, has ravaged its way through nearly two dozen cities with the band hitting Albuquerque, New Mexico tonight, Tempe, Arizona tomorrow and come to an official close in Escondido, California on July 2.

Commented vocalist/guitarist David Sanchez: “This tour has been absolutely killer! I’ve never had so much fun on the road. We’ve seen some very rowdy crowds and have definitely wrecked some necks! Every band on this tour is solid, so people are definitely getting lots of bang for their buck. See ya in the pit!”

HAVOK are touring in support of their critically-lauded Time Is Up full-length, released earlier this year via Candlelight Records. The record has earned near-perfect ratings from media big and small. Said Stereokiller in a 5/5 rreview: “I do not know why they are not opening the Big Four tour.” Metal Observer agreed calling the record, “A must-listen for both thrash fans and fans of great metal music. One of the best thus far this year,” while Terrorizer noted: “Everything great about thrash — infectious, galloping riffs, hummable choruses, a vast array of gang vocals in ‘DOA’ — is employed, with their ace in the hole being Reece Scruggs, whose sumptuously-phrased solos, balancing shred, fiery modal moves and soulful, blues bends will suck in everyone from guitar nerds to song-structure curmudgeons.” Said Agnostic Front’s Roger Miret of the track “No Amnesty” in the April 2011 edition of Decibel’s Call & Response feature, “Thrash in the vein of Overkill, Nuclear Assault, Kreator etc. I don’t know if this is a new band or an old’s band new material, but it’s pretty kick ass!”

In case you missed it, check out the band’s video for “Covering Fire,” the fifth track off Time Is Up. The video was shot in Tyler, Texas, produced by Mike Gillespie and directed by Brian Jaynes. View the video HERE.
