“It’s fact, not fiction now,” states The Armageddon Chord author Jeremy Wagner.
The Associated Press and CNN recently published a story about the strange writings discovered in the Great Pyramid of Giza (http://bit.ly/kBw1yR). The AP also reports of a professor who has discovered 17 new pyramids beneath the Egyptian sands. Both events are eerily similar to the hieroglyphs mentioned in the first two chapters of The Armageddon Chord by heavy metal rocker, JEREMY WAGNER.
“The recent news about strange hieroglyphs and writings found in the Great Pyramid of Giza and the news about the at the University of Alabama professor using laser technology to discover 17 previously unknown Egyptian pyramids buried below the desert sands isn’t surprising to me,” says JEREMY WAGNER, heavy metal musician and debut novelist. “It’s fact, not fiction now,” says WAGNER.
“All of these discoveries are mentioned in the first two chapters of my debut novel, The Armageddon Chord,” says WAGNER. “In researching Egyptian history for my thriller, I learned how many pyramids and huge pieces of cities were buried beneath Egyptian sands and that we’ve only found a small part of this ancient civilization. Moreover, the Great Pyramid of Giza is a huge, complex structure with many air-shafts and chamber-ways. It’s exciting but not surprising to discover new writings or any other finds in this pyramid alone. Advances in technology will continue to unlock once secret doors from the past.”
“An ancient and evil song written in strange hieroglyphics is discovered in a long lost pyramid beneath the Egyptian sands. Once transcribed, this song has the power to unleash the Apocalypse, and one guitarist finds himself caught between the forces of divine good and monumental evil.” – The Armageddon Chord
Excerpt from The Armageddon Chord:
“…Inside, Helmut saw everything illuminated by Tom’s lights. A large sarcophagus surrounded by a cache of Egyptian heirlooms caught Helmut’s immediate attention. He inhaled, knowing this chamber had remained undisturbed for more than three thousand years until this day.
“What have we here?” Helmut scanned the lighted tomb through his sunglasses.
“The ’glyphs in here are strange,” Tom said. “Unlike anything I’ve ever seen.”
“Probably cryptic writing. Hiding something important,” Barkley said…”
“… The large sarcophagus filled up most of the chamber. Helmut ran his fingers over the lid of the granite necro-vault, reading the strange hieroglyphics chiseled into the stone.
Helmut never encountered writings like this before, but he knew he’d break them down. After all, he mused, he learned from the best years ago, participating and assisting with countless digs and excavations from childhood to now.
At times like this, he prided himself to the point of arrogance with his knowledge of all the pharaohs and all the dynasties, knowing he could read and decipher the most technical hieroglyphics, knowing how to break the toughest of cryptic writings. He read various coffin and pyramid texts. He read the Book of the Dead and memorized it all. He knew all the spells and incantations. He could recite every myth and name all of the gods and deities. He learned to speak the languages of the ancient Egyptians, even the most obscure tongues…”
