The all star doom duo of Bobby Liebling / Victor Griffin, along with band-mates Greg Turley and new drummer Albert Born, will be hitting the road for the band’s first official US headline tour in support of their acclaimed new album, Last Rites!
The recently released Last Rites marks the first album in 17 years from one of the most influential duos in doom metal history and has garnered favorable reviews across the board. In honor of this accomplishment and to help celebrate the band’s 40th anniversary, PENTAGRAM will hit the US tour trail this coming August with support coming from Valient Thorr and JEFF the Brotherhood.
This is the same duo that stunned over 2,000 people at 2010’s Maryland Deathfest and became the most talked about set of the weekend. That historic set was filmed, mastered, and will be released on DVD under the title, When the Screams Come by Metal Blade on August 16th. And due to high demand, Last Rites will be made available on vinyl in North America on the same date. Preorders for the DVD When the Screams Come and vinyl for Last Rites will be made available at the following location: http://www.metalblade.com/pentagram/
Tour dates are being booked now and will be announced soon!

SUNDANCE SELECTS TAKES NORTH AMERICAN RIGHTS TO ACCLAIMED DOCUMENTARY LAST DAYS HERE
New York, NY – Sundance Selects announced today that the company is acquiring North American rights to directors Don Argott (ROCK SCHOOL, THE ART OF THE STEAL) and Demian Fenton’s documentary LAST DAYS HERE. Produced by Sheena M. Joyce, the film studies the storied and tumultuous life of heavy metal legend Bobby Liebling and features the music of Liebling’s band Pentagram, along with appearances by Sean “Pellet” Pelletier, Geof O’Keefe, and Greg Mayne, amongst others. LAST DAYS HERE premiered earlier this year at the 2011 South by Southwest Film Festival. Sundance Selects will release the film theatrically and on its Video-on-Demand (VOD) platform.
Rock and Roll’s history is littered with stories of once promising musicians who crashed and burned after giving into their demons. LAST DAYS HERE tells the story of Bobby Liebling, the lead singer of the cult 1970’s heavy metal band Pentagram. Now in his 50’s and wasting away in his parents’ basement from decades of drug use and self loathing, Bobby’s music is finally discovered by the heavy metal underground. With the help of his friend and manager Sean “Pellet” Pelletier, Bobby attempts to overcome years of addiction, loneliness and broken dreams. Made over 4 years and tracking the most unlikely of friendships, the film becomes a riveting, unexpectedly funny and moving portrait of the ultimate fan’s act of faith when all hope looks lost. Directors Don Argott and Demian Fenton working again with producer Sheena Joyce invest the film with the same sort of suspenseful filmmaking as in their acclaimed THE ART OF THE STEAL and unforgettable characters found in their debut ROCK SCHOOL.
Jonathan Sehring, President of Sundance Selects, said: “LAST DAYS HERE is a wild ride that we all found deeply moving. We look forward to working with Don Argott, Demain Fenton and Sheena Joyce again after our successful collaboration on THE ART OF THE STEAL.”
“Demian, Sheena and I could not be happier to be, once again, in the skilled hands of Sundance Selects. We’re thrilled to partner with them on this story of an unbelievable journey, and look forward to continuing down the path by their side,” said Argott, the film’s Co-Director with Fenton. The deal for LAST DAYS HERE was negotiated by Arianna Bocco, Senior Vice President of Acquisitions & Productions for Sundance Selects and Submarine’s Josh Braun on behalf of the filmmakers.
Sundance Selects is a sister division to IFC Films and IFC Midnight, and is owned and operated by Rainbow Media.
