PAUL WARDINGHAM: Releases Solo Instrumental Metal Album “Assimilate Regenerate”

Australian based guitarist and producer Paul Wardingham, is releasing his debut solo instrumental album, “Assimilate Regenerate”, scheduled for release on February 21st 2011 through Enigmatic Records.

Described as hi-tech melodic metal, Paul’s style combines 7-string mechanical metal grooves, melodic choruses, and otherworldly guitar solos. This album is sure to impress fans of guitar legends like Jeff Loomis and John Petrucci, although musically it shares more in common with artists such as Devin Townsend, Scar Symmetry, Fear Factory, and Meshuggah.

Paul Wardingham was recently featured on Universum’s latest album “Mortuus Machina” contributing a guest guitar solo on the track “Aeon Displacement”. He is also known as one half of the Collins/Wardingham Project, a collaboration with Australian drum phenomenon Grant Collins. Their critically acclaimed progressive metal fusion album “Interactive” was released in 2006 through Enigmatic Records.
