The Lucky Ones – The Beer Sessions

2010, Stumble Records

Rating: 4/5

Steve Stumble and band give us the drinking album of 2010 with it’s booze filled songs. This Rock influenced Punk-a-billy album is definitely one that you should have at your next house party when you and your buddy’s want to sit around, listen to tunes and get hammered.

THE BEER SESSIONS is just 2 songs shy of being a 12 pack but the 10 that are included here are enough to create quite a buzz. If you are looking for Radio Friendly ‘Hits’ and slow numbers then this album isn’t for you. Filled to the brim with punk styled rock songs that is sure to satisfy even the most sophisticated ear buds. With titles like “No Fear, More Beer”, “Drinkin’ For Days” and this reviewer’s personal favorite “ Drunkin’ Holiday” how can you not enjoy it? For categorization purposes only I would put them up alongside the likes of The Mahones and Dropkick Murphy’s.

One of the better Punk styled out on the market Today. Be sure to pick this one up and catch them live if you can because if this album is any indication then the live show will be one hell of a party.
