Knucklehead – Hearts On Fire

2010, Stumble Records

Rating: 3/5

Hailing from Calgary, AB this 5 piece band have played around the Country for well over a decade. They started out as 3 High Schooll friends in the 90’s in 2003 became a 5 piece and have kept that configuration ever since. In 2010 they released HEARTS ON FIRE on Stumble Records out of Ontario.

A baker’s dozen of high energy, raw Punk Rock music is what you the listener are treated to with HEARTS ON FIRE. As you’d expect on a Punk Rock album, there are no ballads or anything remotely slow or mellow. What you get are stereotypical fast, short and raw songs. Nothing new or groundbreaking on here, just a solid and enjoyable Punk album with no surprises.

HEARTS ON FIRE is worth checking out if you are into Punk and bands like Dropkick Murphy’s, D.O.A. and The Mahones. It’s raw and in your face like all good Punk should be.
