“FEARnet and Decibel Presents: Creatures From The Black Abyss Tour” to kick off in February
ENGLAND – Britain’s world-renowned extreme heavy metal act, Cradle Of Filth, has announced dates for the band’s first North American tour since 2009, a headlining run on the “FEARnet and Decibel Presents: Creatures From The Black Abyss Tour”, set to kick off in February. Nachtmystium, Turisas, and Daniel Lioneye will round out the tour’s impressive package on Cradle Of Filth’s long-awaited return to North American shores.
In lieu of this exciting news, the band’s infamous frontman, Dani Filth, has left a special video message for the legions of patiently waiting Cradle Of Filth fans exclusively on FEARnet.com. Head HERE for more details.
Tickets for the “FEARnet and Decibel Presents: Creatures From The Black Abyss Tour” will go on sale on October 30th, while special preorder tickets and VIP meet and greet ticket packages will go on sale tomorrow at 3:00 PM local market time exclusively through Artist Arena at: http://tixx1.artistarena.com/cradleoffilth/. Meet and greet packages are limited, so fans are encouraged to seize this rare opportunity before it’s too late.
The Grammy nominated, Cradle Of Filth, continues to shock, excite, disgust, and inspire in equal measures. Their forthcoming studio album – and ninth overall – Darkly, Darkly, Venus Aversa, will hit stores on November 9th on Nuclear Blast Records.
A loyal stalwart to the satanic horror ethos, Cradle Of Filth’s forthcoming, Darkly, Darkly, Venus Aversa, is a concept album based on Adam’s first wife, the lascivious demoness Lilith. It was recorded at Monkey Puzzle Studios, near Bury St. Edmunds in Suffolk, England, and is the follow-up to 2008’s Godspeed On The Devil’s Thunder. Artwork comes courtesy of Natalie Shau.
Whether through their wildly elaborate & theatrical live shows (which incorporate giant lumbering puppets, fire-breathing dancers, freaks and stilt-walkers), provocative merchandise (including the now legendary ‘Jesus Is A C***’ t-shirt), breathtaking artwork, or the weighty subject matter of their albums (their last told the story of a French Lord who fought alongside Joan Of Arc before embarking on a horrific killing spree), Cradle Of Filth is a band whose uncompromising stance has been rewarded with legions of fans around the world, making them the most successful British heavy metal band since Iron Maiden.
Be sure to check out the Darkly, Darkly, Venus Aversa mini-site for exclusive Cradle Of Filth media, including song previews, video blogs, an iPhone app, and more.
