With their current comeback album ‘Blood of Nations’, Accept are about to top their success back in the 80’s, when Accept was the most important Heavy Rock Band coming from Germany besides the ‘Scorpions’. Long time Paiste Artist Stefan Schwarzmann (since 1988) proved once again what an outstanding Metal drummer he is, which keeps him busy now touring the States and Japan, following a very successful Summer European Tour.
Stefan already was the drummer for Bands like Running Wild, Skew Siskin and U.D.O. (and for Accept from 94-97), just to name a few. When Accept in their original line-up was disbanding in the late 80’s, Stefan joined forces with Singer Udo Dirkschneider and became a member of Udo’s Band U.D.O. for many years to come. However, Stefan’s drumming is not limited to Metal drumming. With the ‘Duo Mystica’ as well as the ensemble ‘Dirrekt’ and several other groups he discovered the diversity of rhythms from all over the world. Improvisations on all kinds of percussion instruments dominated this phase of his career.
Helloween and Krokus were the next Bands in Stefan’s impressive career until rumors about a Accept reunion proved to be true. With new singer Mark Tornillo, Accept recorded their new album with producer Andy Sneap. The excellent production and the songs speak for themselves. Great reviews all over the world and the chart entry in Germany at Nr. 4 as well as top ten chart entries in most of European countries, make this album a great success.
Stefan’s drumming can be described as powerful, hard and super precise. Check out Stefan and Accept on the current US tour.
