A SPECIAL ACCOUSTIC EVENING WITH SASS JORDAN
Juno Award-winning, internationally recognized singer/songwriter Sass Jordan will be performing a special acoustic show at Hugh’s Room in Toronto, ON. The intimate evening will include Jordan performing some of her greatest hits along with selections from her upcoming album From Dusk Til Dawn (Kindling Music/Warner). The evening will also be recorded for a future live album release. Opening the show will be Oliver Pigott at 8:30pm with Sass Jordan at 9:30pm.
Jordan, who has sold over one million CDs worldwide, is a winner of Billboard’s Best Female Rock Vocalist award and has become a household name after 30 years as a performer. The bilingual Montrealer has toured and/or worked with many music heavyweights, including Aerosmith, Alice Cooper, Cheap Trick, Van Halen, Carlos Santana and Joe Cocker.
People Magazine once described her husky-toned voice as "pained but indomitable," swaps the poppy vibe of her last studio album for a more rootsy, intimate sound that reflects her early propensity for artists like The Band, Little Feat, Bonnie Raitt, and The Allman Brothers. The progression of Jordan’s sound will lend itself perfectly to an intimate acoustic performance.

Everyone from Nirvana to Pavement to Stone Temple Pilots cite Meat Puppets as one of the most significant American bands.
The highly influential Meat Puppets started as a punk rock band, but established their own unique style, blending punk with country and psychedelic rock. Meat Puppets later gained significant exposure when the Kirkwood brothers served as guest musicians on Nirvana’s MTV Unplugged performance in 1993. The band’s subsequent album Too High to Die went gold, selling over 500,000 albums, and became their most successful release. The band reunited in 2006.
Recorded at The Saltmine in Phoenix, Arizona in winter 2009, the album features the Kirkwood brothers, Cris and Curt, with drummer Ted Marcus.
