Fourth

2008, On Your Own Records

Rating: 3/5

You may remember The Verve from a few years back with their video that was simply Ashcroft walking down the sidewalk singing the song. They also gained some more press for that song because they ended up in court as it sampled a song by The Rolling Stones without their permission. Well a few years have passed and they offer up FOURTH.< ?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

A very mellow and laid back collection of songs that could put you in a Floyd state of mind at times. The songs are very atmospheric especially “Appalachian Springs” which is the best song on this album. The Floyd influence is very heavy on this track. There are no rockers or even mid-tempo pop songs on here to much disappointment. An entire disc of relaxing songs to soothe the ears.
