Hit The Lights Announce New Singer – New Album Out This Summer

Hit The Lights have announced in a video update on their newly designed www.myspace.com/hitthelights that guitarist Nick Thompson will be taking over lead vocal duties. The bands former lead singer, Colin Ross left the band last summer to peruse a quiet life. The band remains tight with Colin and wish him the best in whatever lies next for him. The band have posted a new song with Thompson singing to give fans a taste of what’s to come. Hit The Lights are currently in the studio with Rob Freeman at Pilot Studios in NJ recording their sophomore effort to be release on Triple Crown Records this summer.

Guitarist Omar Zehary had this to say about the last few months of searching for a new singer: "It’s taken some time to get back on our feet. This has been a hard thing to go through, as well as something that has reinforced our dedication to this band even more. Thank you to everyone who has sent positive comments, had our backs, and never gave up on us…it got us through a lot more than you think. There will be haters, there will be lovers, either way; we’re always going to be Hit The Lights."

Hit The Lights have scanned nearly 50,000 copies of their debut album This Is A Stickup…Don’t Make It A Murder – They’ve spent the last couple years on the road with bands like New Found Glory, Paramore, Cute Is What We Aim For, Cartel, Hawthorne Heights and The Receiving End Of Sirens.

Hit The Lights will go back on tour in March with The Audition and The Morning Light. Look for dates to be announced in the next couple weeks.

Sevendust New Studio Album

On April 1,  7Bros. Records in conjunction with Warner Music Group’s Independent Label Group are set to release Sevendust’ seventh studio release titled, Chapter VII: Hope & Sorrow.   Produced by  Sean Groove, Morgan Rose & John Connolly in Atlanta, GA at Tree Sounds Studios. Hope & Sorrow will be their second release on the band’s wholly owned record label.

For the first time since Animosity (2001), the band has collaborated with outside artists. Chris Daughtry, a longtime fan of Sevendust’s, will appear on the album as well as members of Alter Bridge. Chris Daughtry appears on the track "The Past" while Mark Tremonti of Alter Bridge guests on "Hope" and Miles Kennedy of Alter Bridge on "Sorrow." Sevendust felt bringing in some outside friends added a healthy dynamic for the project.  Additionally, the band has signed on new management and feels like is a fresh new beginning for 2008.

Sevendust has been announced as part of the first annual Rockstar Energy Mayhem Festival, a riotous road show packed with some of hard music’s most influential artists and a plethora of the genre’s most exciting young voices. The tour is set to kick off July 9th at the White River Amphitheatre in Seattle and will hit 30 cities in the U.S. and Canada between early July and late August (full itinerary to be announced in the coming weeks). Sevendust joins headliners Slipknot and Disturbed along with Dragonforce, Mastodon, Airbourne, Black Tide, Five Finger Death Punch and more.

"It was a challenging and exciting to write.  We’ve spent so much time with angst over our career that is was nice to in a good head space for a change while working on this project." Morgan Rose, Drums

"There was a really relaxed vibe in the studio this time around. I think Hope and Sorrow shows a different side of Sevendust. Heavy but yet still growing in a direction that explores a lot of different things musically for us. I’m excited about the album." LaJon Witherspoon, Vocals

BRITNY FOX – BITES DOWN HARDER

In light of the recent defamatory claims, allegations and all out negative press circulating earlier in the week, original member and bassist Billy Childs, plus the 2007 lineup of guitarist Greg Polcari and drummer Henry, along with new frontman and rhythm guitarist Jamie Fletcher will carry on as the hard rock group known as BRITNY FOX.

BRITNY FOX has retained the new management and booking services of Lane Productions and has inked a new deal with the independent label CHAVIS RECORDS. Through these partnerships the team was able to do what was necessary and in the best interest of Billy Childs. There is nothing being handed to BRITNY FOX on a "silver platter", "no rebirth", no skyrocketing BRITNY FOX "back in the limelight", "no robbing or deceiving anyone of anything", and "no infringement upon anyones anything". BRITNY FOX is simply moving forward as a band playing the songs BRITNY FOX is widely known for, coupled with a few that we’re not hits but represent what BRITNY FOX was, is and will continue to be.

BRITNY FOX is currently in rehearsals with new vocalist Jamie Fletcher for the upcoming 2008 tour which kicks off on March 21, 2008. Jamie was selected over several candidates. His stage presence, appeal and resume suited the position very well, but being a solid vocalist that can serve up the "Dizzy" Dean Davidson and Tommy Paris material just like it should be was the deciding factor. The team felt that it was critical to not only deliver the material as close to the original as possible, but also not to deviate from the BRITNY FOX sound that it is known for.

"I personally spoke with Tommy Paris and asked him to give it another go. Tommy has moved on and gave his blessing and best wishes. No ugliness, no negativity just simply pursuing other interests at this time. With respect to my involvement, Billy had an idea and a vision that he wanted to achieve. We had several discussions with new management and put all the cards on the table. We came up with a game plan and an agreement that was best suited for all of the parties involved. I am happy to be involved and apart of the BRITNY FOX team. – Bill Chavis – CEO/President CHAVIS RECORDS

Immediate plans for BRITNY FOX are to hit the road for the summer touring season and begin writing new material for a 2009 release. This gives the band time to gel and really focus on rebuilding, touring and reconnecting with their fans.

"I want to personally thank each and everyone who stood by me and looked out for this project. I also want to thank all of the fans and friends who emailed me and responded positively to all the negative stuff being spit out". – Billy Childs

Expect more information and the latest updates on BRITNY FOX in the coming weeks. All of the current and scheduled tour dates can be found here.  For more information visit www.chavisrecords.net, www.myspacecom/chavisrecords and www.myspace.com/britnyfoxband.

Interested in Elliot Smith, Neil Young, Cursive, or Tom Waits?  Check out Paper Garden’s new artists!

The time has come at last for me to update you with some great Paper Garden Records news!  Due to the great success we saw with our first band, Eagle Seagull, we have now brought on two more absolutely phenomenal acts – Darla Farmer & Peasant.

Peasant’s new record, "On The Ground", comes out next week (2/26) and has been received quite well so far with reviews in Spin.com, Brooklyn Vegan, and more!  Definitely check Peasant out to get some refreshing air filtered into your system with his calming and uniquely melodic voice.

"It’s a good feeling to come across an artist you instantly like, sort of by accident.  That happened with me with Peasant a few weeks ago when I randomly selected his CD ‘On The Ground’ (Out February 26th on Paper Garden Records)…" – Brooklyn Vegan

            “…a blossoming Pennsylvania-based troubadour…” – Spin.com

And for your other half, Darla Farmer’s "Rewiring The Electric Forest" (out 3/04) will get your blood flowing for these cold winter nights with the eerie, yet beautiful collaboration of horns and strings in a carnival-rock delivery of sound.

"I can honestly say, Darla Farmer are a powerhouse." – Pretty Much Amazing!

“…wild, dark, violent, and simultaneously heart-wrenchingly beautiful.” – Decoy Music

Also, be sure to check them out at SXSW this year if you’ll be there, as both acts have a couple day parties they’ll be stopping in for!

Outlaws To Forge Ahead in 2008 with Tour Dates Beginning February 22nd

OUTLAWS TO FORGE AHEAD IN 2008

WITH TOUR DATES BEGINNING FEBRUARY 22nd

ORIGINAL OUTLAWS HENRY PAUL AND MONTE YOHO

ANNOUNCE NEW LINE-UP FOR THE LEGENDARY SOUTHERN BAND

In a move that will surely please devout Outlaws fans, original founding members Henry Paul and Monte Yoho have announced that they will continue after the unfortunate passing of band mate Hughie Thomasson in September of 2007.

"The Outlaws story is one of five young men with a dream," says Yoho. "Our story has chapters of triumph and tragedy but, through it all, there remains a sense of pride and accomplishment. The loss of Billy Jones (lead guitarist/vocalist) and Frank O’Keefe (bass guitarist) in ’95, and most recently Hughie, is impossible to replace."

Paul (vocals/electric and acoustic guitar) and Yoho (drums) have corralled two new stellar players into the fold that includes lead guitarist Billy Crain (ex-Henry Paul Band/songwriter for the Dixie Chicks and Poco among others) and keyboardist Jon Coleman (ex-Lee Roy Parnell/Brothers of the Southland).

The band is rounded out by guitarist Chris Anderson, who’s been an integral part of the Outlaws family off-and-on for over two decades and bassist Randy Threet, who has called the Outlaws "home" for the past few years.

In 2005, the Outlaws reconvened for a successful 30th Anniversary Tour that also included original Outlaws member David Dix (drums) in addition to Thomasson, Paul, Yoho, Anderson and Threet.

Two years later in the summer of 2007, the band toured as part of the immensely popular Charlie Daniels Volunteer Jam Tour  that included the Marshall Tucker Band.

This year, they once again have a lot to look forward to… a U.S. tour beginning February 22nd and, hopefully, a new album to be released later in the year.

Fans who come out this year can expect the band to play some of their greatest hits as "Green Grass & High Tides," "There Goes Another Love Song," "Hurry Sundown," "(Ghost) Riders in the Sky" and "You Are The Show" as well as other fan favorites including "Knoxville Girl," "Gunsmoke," "South Carolina," "Girl From Ohio" and "Freeborn Man."

"We will remain faithful to the authentic musical style that launched this great band’s career, while creating new music to carry us forward into the future," states  Monte Yoho.

"We pride ourselves in continuing the tradition of a great American rock group," adds Henry Paul. "We’re here to ensure that the music of Hughie, Billy, Frank and the rest of the Outlaws will never be forgotten."

After all the band has endured, they could’ve easily ridden off into the sunset and called it a day… but that’s never been, and never will be, the way of the Outlaws.

DEBBIE FORTNUM BEAUTIFUL PIANO TOUR ~ INSPIRATIONAL FOCUS

Debbie Fortnum’s The Beautiful Piano will be released on February 26, 2008 by D2/Fontana North/Universal who will be releasing three of her CDs within the next year.  With over 96+ touring dates last year, Fortnum is hitting the road again with an inspiring musical message of Love, Hope and Beauty through her music.  Part of that journey includes performing at and taking part in many women’s events, retreats, conferences and other charity fundraisers.

Fortnum, a humanitarian at heart, loves people and wants to spend her life helping them discover and live their best lives.   Women’s retreats and conferences hold a special place in her heart. “Women typically give more than they receive, so they can become very depleted, emotionally and physically,” says Fortnum .  “I love being a part of these kinds of retreats, because I love helping women truly rest, ‘retreat’ and replenish in a safe, inspirational environment.  She has created her own weekend Women’s Retreat Series called "Becoming Alive Inside” which incorporates three or four speaking segments throughout an entire weekend, plus a full concert.

Fortnum inspires with her music and her life story, and fans want to take that feeling home in the form of her five CDs, both vocal and piano. Though not counted by Soundscan, she is one of Canada’s best selling Indie Artists, selling over 16,000 from stage and internet. Fortnum has received a total of 14 Canadian Music Award Nominations and three Awards in 2006 & 2007.

The Beatles’ LOVE Wins 2 Grammy Awards

The Beatles’ LOVE won two Grammys® at the 50th Annual Grammy® Awards in the categories of Best Compilation Soundtrack Album for Motion Picture, Television or other Visual Medium and Best Surround Sound Album. Ringo Starr joined LOVE’s producers, Sir George Martin, The Beatles’ legendary producer, and his son, music producer Giles Martin, to accept the award for Best Compilation Soundtrack during the live February 10 Grammy telecast from Los Angeles.

“The idea for LOVE started with George Harrison talking to Cirque du Soleil,” said George Martin. “We all pay tribute to George, Ringo, Paul and John as the people who are behind this award.”

”The Beatles changed the musical landscape forever, combining great music with eternal human truths, which are as vibrant today as when they were recorded,” said Guy Hands, Chairman of EMI Group.  “It is therefore fitting that Sir George Martin and Giles Martin have won these awards in such a milestone year for The Grammys.  It’s poetic that the talents of the Beatles, and the work that father and son have done with LOVE continue to ensure this music speaks directly to all generations.”

George Martin and Giles Martin worked with the entire archive of Beatles master recordings at Abbey Road Studios to create the soundscape for LOVE.  The result is an unprecedented approach to Beatles music for a stage production.  Released by Apple Corps Ltd. and distributed by Capitol Records, The Beatles’ LOVE is available in both stereo and 5.1, and is the first Beatles album available in 5.1 surround sound.

LOVE’s two Grammy Award wins raise The Beatles’ Grammy count to nine. The Beatles’ seven prior wins include Best New Artist of 1964 and Album of The Year and Best Contemporary Album for Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band in 1967, which also honored the album’s producer, George Martin. Including LOVE’s awards, Martin has been awarded six Grammys for producing and arranging, including The Who’s Tommy for Best Musical Show Album in 1993 (producer) and the award for Best Arrangement Accompanying Vocalist(s) for Paul McCartney & Wings’ Live And Let Die in 1973.

Cast members from The Beatles LOVE by Cirque du Soleil at The Mirage in Las Vegas paid tribute to the Beatles at the 50th Annual Grammy Awards with a special performance.  25 dancers and acrobats performed live to “A Day in the Life” and in the Grammy finale with “Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band (Reprise),” both from the LOVE album.

PEARL, a name all together fresh and rooted in rock ‘n’ roll history, is flying onto the music scene breaking the social traditions that have become the U.S. rock norm. Headed up by the whiskey soaked voice of Pearl Aday, daughter of music icon Meat Loaf, this album will smash through the anonymity and secure her rightful place in rock history.

Pearl Aday has an innate talent capable of conveying powerful emotion through heart-stomping, primal, rock-and-roll singing. “There is no real female rock anymore,” states Aday. “I will be the chick to bring it back.”  In the veins of Janis Joplin, Aerosmith and all great hard rock blues filled artists, PEARL’s debut album is explosive, crushing, real and soulful with it’s natural fusion of blues and rock..  Aday’s vocal intensity proves a perfect match for the high-energy music of PEARL. “I grew up surrounded by rock ‘n’ roll, soul, blues, funk, and country. It’s what I love.  It’s what I’m made of.  It’s in my blood.”

PEARL was produced and engineered by Joe Barresi (Tool, Queens of the Stone Age). Aday is backed by the musical talent of Scott Ian (Anthrax), and Jim Wilson (lead Guitar/vocals), Marcus Blake (bass/vocals), and Matt Tecu (drums) of the band Mother Superior, with special performances by Ted Nugent on the blistering track “Check Out Charlie”, and Jerry Cantrell (Alice in Chains) on the dark and beautiful track “Anything”. All the songs are of a very personal nature for Aday in speaking of her lyrics. “Check Out Charlie is about the lessons I’ve learned with sex drugs and rock n roll.”  She goes on to say, “The song is so rockin’, and it’s got Ted Nugent and Scott Ian going back and forth on guitar.”

Coming from a musical background and being the daughter of Meat Loaf led Aday into music from an early age. “I don’t remember when I discovered I could sing.  I was always singing.  As a little girl I was singing all the time putting on shows for everyone.” Eventually, Pearl was singing on stage with her father, Meat Loaf, touring the world for 9 years.  Pearl also joined Motley Crue on their Maximum Rock world tour in 2000.  Shortly after, she stepped out on her own, and began recording her solo original material.

PEARL will be joining Velvet Revolver on tour in the UK this March 2008. "I’m really looking forward to coming to the UK”, exclaims Aday. “Especially with such an iconic band as Velvet Revolver.  I’m ready.  I am so ready.  Let’s go! We’re gonna tear it up!”

THE BANGKOK FIVE’S ‘WE LOVE WHAT KILLS US’ DUE OUT MAY 13

Revered by Revolver magazine as “one more band you should know about,” The Bangkok Five returns with their sophomore album, WE LOVE WHAT KILLS US, due out May 13 on Long Live Crime Records (distributed by MRI/ Red).

“These songs were written by a band on the road being a band,” explains lead guitarist Sweeney.  “There is a brutality that you will hear in every guitar note, word and drum beat.”

WE LOVE WHAT KILLS US is the follow-up to the band’s 2006 debut, WHO’S GONNA TAKE US ALIVE? (Universal).  The first single from that album, “Spread Eagle,” hit # 1 on several tastemaker indie rock radio stations across the country, leading to tours of Europe, Canada and the U.S. with bands such as Hot Hot Heat, The Cult, The Stooges, The Bronx, Buckcherry, (International) Noise Conspiracy and Papa Roach.

The sophomore effort marks the first time the band–Frost (vocals), Sweeney (lead guitar), Coatez (bass), Blanco (drums), Bobby S. (guitar)–will release music in two languages, English and Spanish.

As vocalist Frost explains the decision to make a bilingual album:  “I left for Europe when I was a teenager to escape the banality of California life and the feeling that I had no future.  I ended up in Spain and lived there for a few years, learning the language, the music, and the lifestyle.  I started to DJ at various clubs and picked up a real love and deep respect for the scene.  When I came back to Los Angeles, I discovered the Latino culture I loved was here all along, living, breathing and making great art.  It was a natural progression to translate WE LOVE WHAT KILLS US into Spanish.  This record is about L.A. and what goes on here.  To ignore the Latin culture and its people would be to ignore the real Los Angeles.”

Produced by the band along with Manny Nieto (The Mars Volta, The Circle Jerks, The Breeders), WE LOVE WHAT KILLS US was recorded live to tape at Wetandry Studios in Echo Park, California.  Manny also engineered and recorded the album.

“When you record to tape, you have to play everything perfectly,” says Frost.  “It keeps the music really honest.  We rehearsed until we felt we would go insane.  In the world of Pro Tools, you can fix little things like a missing kick drum, or a bad note.  The world of tape does not forgive anything, so you have to play it right or do it again.  We used all of our own gear to keep it sounding like we do when we perform live.  It’s great because you can hear buzzing all over the tracks.  There’s no sterility here.  This is warm and fuzzy analog music.”

The songs on WE LOVE WHAT KILLS US deal with the pain and uncertainty in the lives of the band as an exhaustive tour in support of their debut album left them with disrupted personal lives.  Frost’s girlfriend had to be put in rehab for drug addiction, while drummer Blanco came home to an empty house and a note from his fiancé wishing him luck in his life.  She had enough of his rock & roll lifestyle and decided to leave him.

One song in particular, "Outlines of Us," stems from a haunting, yet all too realistic experience while out on the road.  “It’s a torch song written about some ghosts we met at a flop house/hotel back east,” says Frost.  “We stayed the night at this shit hole and when we woke up in the morning, we realized we all had the same exact dream about hair, blood and brains that were splattered all over the walls of our room.  We concluded there had been a murder/suicide there.  So I romanticized a classic, archetypical ‘if I can’t have you, no one will’ story about the anti-hero murdering his one and only true love, when he realizes she doesn’t share his desire.  The spurned lover then destroys everything, including himself, when he realizes she cannot be his.”

For Frost, The Bangkok Five is the only way he knows how to live, complete with all the ups and downs:  “I am homeless and broke because of this thing I have to do called music.  My father sent me to a shrink a couple of years ago to find out what was ‘wrong with me.’  After an hour, the psychologist concluded that I had ‘John the Baptist Syndrome.’  I will do this or I will go crazy, or kill myself.  I consider myself afflicted.  I owe the government thousands of dollars.  I don’t have a driver’s license because it’s been revoked.  I don’t have medical insurance.  I have warrants out for my arrest.   I don’t care…I am a punk in the true sense of the word.  The music I make has destroyed my life.”

Hence the album title:  WE LOVE WHAT KILLS US.

New D.O.A. album with producer Bob Rock

In mid February, Canada’s legendary punk rock band D.O.A. will start recording a new album in time for their 30th anniversary. The production will be handled by mega producer Bob Rock (Metallica, The Cult, Pointed Sticks, Young Canadians, Motley Crue).

Sudden Death Records is ecstatic about the upcoming release of “Northern Avenger.” The tentative release date for Canada is May 2008 and August 2008 for the rest of the world. D.O.A., led by Canada’s punk godfather Joe Shithead Keithley, has teamed up with co-conspirators bassist Randy Rampage and drummer James Hayden and come up with a ton of great new songs.

Bob Rock got his start with his band The Payolas who, along with D.O.A. and others, helped start Vancouver’s gritty underground punk scene back in 1978.  Bob produced some of the great early pop punk bands like the Young Canadians and the Pointed Sticks at Vancouver’s famous Little Mountain Sound. D.O.A. also recorded their classic early singles The Prisoner/13 and World War 3/Whatcha Gonna Do? at Little Mountain Sound with the help of Ron Obvious and Bob Rock. Bob later went onto world-wide fame producing bands like Metallica, The Tragically Hip and Bon Jovi.

The songs on "Northern Avenger" cover a lot of fertile and explosive ground, as you would expect from a D.O.A. album. Songs like Human Bomb, Police Brutality and Crossfire are political and on fire. There’s also the humor you would expect from D.O.A. on Devils’ Speedway and Donnybrook. All in all, it will be a blistering collection of songs.

Release schedule and D.O.A. tour dates will be announced shortly.

Capitol/EMI to Release ‘The Best Of The Vines’ (March 11)

The Vines’ top hits and album tracks spanning the band’s three studio releases between 2002 and 2006 have been gathered for the first time for The Best Of The Vines, to be released March 11 by Capitol/EMI.  The new CD and digital collection features 16 tracks, including “Factory,” the single that first put them on the international music map, the 90-second title track from the band’s gold-certified debut album, Highly Evolved, and the Modern Rock chart hits “Get Free,” “Ride” and “Outtathaway.”

Following a few years of local success in their hometown of Sydney, Australia, The Vines were discovered internationally in 2001. Originally comprised of lead vocalist and guitarist Craig Nicholls, bassist and vocalist Patrick Matthews and drummer David Oliffe, the trio selected its name to honor Nicholls’ father’s 1960s band, The Vynes.

In 2002, following the recording of the band’s first album, Highly Evolved, with producer Rob Schnapf (Beck, Elliott Smith), Oliffe left the band and guitarist Ryan Griffiths and drummer Hamish Rosser joined the line-up.  Heralded by influential UK and US music press as a hot new arrival, The Vines stormed America with a Coachella Festival debut in April, followed by Highly Evolved’s release by Capitol Records in July.  The album’s burst of a title track, along with its Top 10 Modern Rock hit, “Get Free” and Top 20 Modern Rock single, “Getouttathaway,” announced The Vines’ arrival with a firm kick.  The band’s 2001 single, “Factory,” was also included on the gold-certified debut, which peaked at #11 on Billboard’s Top 200 and Top Internet Albums charts.

Winning Days followed in March 2004. By then, Nicholls had long been making headlines for erratic behavior and an extended public unraveling that was viewed by many as inexcusable petulance, alienating some of the band’s most ardent fans. The album’s single “Ride” hit #13 on Billboard’s Modern Rock chart (and was later featured in a 2007 Nissan TV ad campaign). Soon after the release, the band was forced to scrap its tour dates as Nicholls spiraled deeper into an alarming crisis.  With the support of his bandmates and family, Nicholls sought help and was diagnosed with Asperger’s Syndrome, a form of autism, and immediately began ongoing treatment.

In a return to the group’s origins as a trio, The Vines’ Nicholls, Hamish and Griffiths entered the studio in 2005 to record Vision Valley, the band’s most recent album. They set up at a small studio in Sydney with Australian producer Wayne Connolly (You Am I), and the album’s April 2006 release revealed a rejuvenated Nicholls in great musical form, no doubt bolstered by the sessions’ positive and familiar creative environment.

STEVE STEVENS – MEMORY CRASH out MARCH 4TH

After a decade, the much anticipated Steve Stevens solo release is invading the world – MEMORY CRASH releases March 4th, 2008 on Magna Carta Records.

Steven’s spent the last few years out on tour in support of Idols album “The Devils Playground.” Once off tour, Stevens spent time orchestrating his new album and signed to Magna Carta Records. He spent the last year meticulously laying down the tracks to his newest guitar masterpiece.

Choosing a very retro-contemporary style, Stevens decided he would make this a very real and well conceived album, something that has not been heard in years. Reasserting the quality that made him a star, Stevens just calls it good old-fashioned rock ‘n’ roll. It’s just Steve Stevens, his guitar, and his beloved effects – all the ingredients that make’s this album a work of genius.

MEMORY CRASH boasts such tracks as “Water on Ares”, “Hellcats Take the Highway”, “Small Arms Fire”, an interpretation of Robin Trower’s’ “Day of the Eagle” (featuring Dug Pinnick of King’s X), and the rousing/psychedelic “Cherry Vanilla.”  “I have a lot of weird little segues going on with this record,” Stevens explains. “I’ve always loved that about the prog records, like Dark Side of the Moon. You enter this little theater of the mind. It’s a true headphone experience.”

Guitar World magazine once said that Steve Stevens “orchestrates the growls and snarls that come of his guitar much the same way that Bernstein conducts the Philharmonic.”  It’s this variety of aural characteristics that also explains Stevens’ musical career path. Not only is he the longtime musical partner and friend of British punk-rock icon, Billy Idol—together delivering the million-selling albums BILLY IDOL, REBEL YELL, WHIPLASH SMILE, VITAL IDOL, GREATEST HITS as well as a new CD, DEVIL’S PLAYGROUND—but he’s a Grammy Award winner (Best Rock Instrumental for his work on the TOP GUN Soundtrack), a sought-after songwriter (co-wrote “Bolero” for the ONCE UPON A TIME IN MEXICO Soundtrack), a noted session guitarist (Michael Jackson, the late Robert Palmer, The Cars Ric Ocasek and most recently, Pink), and a solo artist with two vastly divergent albums, rock ‘n rolling ATOMIC PLAYBOYS and the Latin-influenced FLAMENCO A GO GO. Not bad for a shy kid from the rough and tumble section of the Ramones’ Rockaway, Queens on the edge of New York City.

MEMORY CRASH was recorded and engineered by Steve Stevens and Beazle T. Monk at the Purple Room. Brian Tichy (Billy Idol/drummer) plays all percussion and drums, Stevens’ plays guitar and all other instruments.

Frontiers Records Update

HOUSE OF LORDS

Frontiers Records is excited to announce all details surrounding the forthcoming HOUSE OF LORDS album "Come To My Kingdom" to be released on March 14th 2008.

The band’s previous studio album "World Upside Down" was a real fan favourite, so James Christian and the guys went back to the recording with the precise task to create a true rock milestone which could pick up where "World Upside Down" left off.

With the help of the "Fifth Lord" Jeff Kent plus Tommy Denander and Chris Pelcer, the band’s songwriting talents of James Christian, BJ Zampa and Jimi Bell have been flourishing to reach some of the highest levels in the band’s career ever.

Written during the summer 2007, the album was recorded in the fall and mixed by Dennis Ward in November / December. The result is truly outstanding. From the signature intro of "Purgatorio Overtoure n.2" to the epic atmospheres of the title track through to soaring melodic numbers like "I Need To Fly" to the in-your-face attack of "One Foot in the Dark" and to the baroque ballad "Another Day From Heaven", this record has truly everything the fans may want to ask to James Christian and his cohorts.

"Come to My Kingdom" will include the following songs:

Purgatorio Overtoure n.2; Come To My Kingdom; I Need To Fly; I Don’t Wanna Wait All Night; Another Day From Heaven; In A Perfect World; The Dream; One Foot In The Dark; Your Every Move; I Believe; One Touch; Even Love Can Save Us; In The Light; Another Day From Heaven (Acoustic Version)*

* Exclusive Bonus Track for Europe

House of Lords are already planning live appearances in the spring /  summer 2008 with the plan to storm the European audiences. The band was also already confirmed for the ROCKLAHOMA festival 2008. Prepare to "Come to My Kingdom" to be released on Frontiers Records on March 14 with a release in Japan scheduled on King Records. Dates will be posted at the Frontiers Records website as well as www.jameschristianmusic.com

WHITE LION

Frontiers Records is pleased to announce all the details surrounding the highly anticipated come back studio album from WHITE LION entitled "Return of The Pride".

All the trademarks of the White Lion classic sound can be found again in the new album which offers a musical variety that covers the entire musical spectrum the band is well know for. "Return Of The Pride" kicks off with "Sangre de Cristo", a thunderous epic that ventures into lyrical and musical territories best heard, than described. "Battle At Little Big Horn" is the album’s other soaring epic, a musical re-enactment of one of Native America’s most significant historical event’s: Custer’s Last Stand.  Hook laden rockers such as "Dream", "Live Your Life" and "Finally See The Light" maintain a positive musical and lyrical vibe throughout the album, whereas "Gonna Do It My Way" and "Let Me Be Me" are the modern day "Living On The Edge" songs of rebellion.

"Return of The Pride" will include the following songs:

Sangre de Cristo; Dream; Live Your Life; Set Me Free; I Will; Battle at Little Big Horn; Never Let You Go; Gonna Do It My Way; Finally See The Light; Let Me Be Me; Take Me Home (European Bonus Track).
