LAMB OF GOD is pleased to announce that they have entered in to a worldwide distribution deal with Specticast (Led Zeppelin Celebration Day, Paul McCartney Rock Show) for their Don Argott (Last Days Here, Art of the Steal, School of Rock) directed feature film “As The Palaces Burn”. Filming for the feature began in 2012 and concluded in March of 2013.
“As The Palaces Burn”, not to be confused with the making-of documentary packaged with the recent re-release of the 2003 LAMB OF GOD album of the same name, was conceived to be a documentary focused on the power of music and its impact on cultures around the world and its ability to bring together people of all nationalities regardless of religious or political differences. After a worldwide casting call, filming took place in Colombia, Venezuela, Israel, India, and the United States. As filming reached its conclusion, the documentary was forced to take a major turn when the band’s lead singer, Randy Blythe, was arrested in the Czech Republic and charged with the murder of a fan in June 2012. Granted unique access to Blythe’s continuing saga, Argott’s filming covered Blythe’s 38 day imprisonment in Prague, his release and the band’s return to live performances, and finally Blythe’s trial for murder in Prague in February 2013. 20 some odd years ago, in a small Florida town, two misfits decided to record an environmentally conscious ‘Iron Man’ re-write. Jeff played guitar and Kevin emoted his best Ozzy impression. The song debuted over their high school intercom and received a lukewarm response. This was the humble beginning of Pseudocidal!

The long-running Italian black metallers’ first album for MORIBUND and third overall, Oracolo Suicida displays PROFEZIA as masters of high drama and windswept mysticism, evincing the moonlit melancholy so inherent to classic Italian black metal (mainman Kvasir also doubles in MORIBUND cult Abhor) yet here led by eerily beautiful violin. Open your eyes to Oracolo Suicida and await your fate! Set to be released in a luxury digipack, the cover and tracklisting are as follows:

After recently parting ways with violinist MeriTadic, Swiss folk metal institution ELUVEITIE are pleased to officially welcome Nicole Ansperger into the fold!
“As hard as farewells can be, new beginnings can be very auspicious are as well,” commented ELUVEITIE in a mutual statement. “We are thrilled to introduce to you Meri’s successor. We consider ourselves lucky to have found a true master of Celtic Folk fiddling! A full-blooded musician and violin player through and through, she has played countless shows over many years and also played as a session musician for many well-known acts (such as THE HOOTERS, for instance). During the last ten years she further made a name for herself through her engagement with the Irish folk rock bands PADDY GOES TO HOLYHEAD and ACROSS THE BORDER, but also the renowned medieval/classical metal act HAGGARD. Not only a virtuoso of the fiddle, she also plays the 7-stringed violin as well as the cello! So, ladies and gentlemen – please welcome to the ELUVEITIE camp: Nicole Ansperger!”
“Dear ELUVEITIE fans, I am absolutely delighted to be ELUVEITIE’s new violin player. I love ELUVEITIE’s music and have been a fan myself for a long time. Is there anything better than getting to play for the band you love? I am looking forward to many sweat-inducing, incredible shows with you and the band. See you on stage!”
Shotgun Revolution are a hard rock act that sprung from Denmark. They recently released a compilation of their best songs so far. The songs are taken from the two albums they already have released in Denmark and this current compilation is the first one that’s been released internationally. The guitarist and bandleader Martin Frank and I hooked up a while ago in order to dissect the album, the bands history and what they’re up to in the future. A given question was how they managed to get so popular in Denmark and how they’re going to maintain their status as No1 hard rock act in the future.
When it was announced that Denver’s Thrash Metal four-piece Havok will be hitting the road across Europe and stopping by to play a gig at one of London’s most underground venues, it was clear that it won’t be a show to miss.
Despite the fact that 25th of November was a rather cold and grim Monday night in London, a decent amount of heavy metal fans had made their way down to The Underworld in Camden Town ready to drink beer and party like it’s Friday night.
Scheduled to play alongside Havok were London’s Savage Messiah and Spanish Angelus Apatrida making it a killer thrash metal line-up to cure any of our Monday blues.
