Poetic Justice
2007, Escape Music/Zink Music
Rating: 1.5/5
Tragik is multi-instrumentalist and singer Phil Vincent’s band. Billy Roux (What Matters) and David Zychek (Airborne and Night Ranger) also appear as guests on the album. The bio states that Tragik have musical similarities with < ?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" />
< ?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />
Despite the decent music, the album feels too long and generic because of the boring material where a lot of the songs sound too alike. The 70 minutes of music seems endless and Phil Vincent’s voice can’t take the material any higher. His voice is extremely boring and monotonous; he adds nothing to the music.
Unfortunately, there’s not much more to say about this sad album. This is a good example of bad music – the album is just like the band name: Tragik.
Damian D’Ercola – guitar, bass
Phil Vincent – lead vocals, guitar, keyboards, organ, piano
Dirk Philips – drums
