High Voltage

2006, RCD Music

Rating: 3.5/5

This group of < ?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" />Ontario teenagers have just released an excellent EP of original material.  Just by listening to the music you would never say they were still in their teens as the songs are well written and performed. Having just formed in late 2004 they have earned quite the buzz on the local scene and with this release are about to create one nationwide.

Songs such as “She Ain’t Easy” and “Mama’s Gold” are true upbeat rockers that will be a staple in their live shows. The energy that is captured on disc just gives off that live performance feel. Hearing Sean play guitar is jaw dropping as his ability has well surpassed his age. After hearing him play you would swear he’s been doing this for many years. His talent on the six string is just simply amazing. The track “Rumour Mill” has a bit of RHCP style to it mixed with some 80’s style hard rock. A real catchy number with some killer funky guitar grooves.

A band to watch out for in the very near future. Catch them if you can as they will take off real soon.
