2006, Big 3 Records

Rating: 4.5/5

This is a more consistent and stronger album than their last effort. Cheap Trick is one of those bands that tends not to stray too far from the heavy power pop that made them famous in the first place. They are one of the most easily recognizable bands in the world today due largely to Zander’s voice. He is a flawless singer and never misses a note. His unique vocal does add tremendously to their signature sound.

With tracks like “Every Night And Every Day”, “Decaf” and the first single “Perfect Strangers” one cannot help but be reminded of all the classic Cheap Trick LP’s in their collection’s. The songs have the old school feel to them without sounding dated.

A record that is right on track for this rock group. A little more than you may expect.
