The Sunny Side Of The Moon

2006, Surfdog Records

Rating: 3/5

An eclectic set of covers done lounge style. Yes you heard it correct….Lounge Style. Not your average, everyday cover song album. This disc is sure to be a hit at your next cocktail party.

This ‘Best Of’ collection features Cheese’s interpretations of such timeless classics as Van Halen’s “Hot For Teacher”, Motley Crue’s “Girls Girls Girls” and even Pink Floyd’s “Another Brick In The Wall”. Rounding out the disc are songs by Nirvana, The Clash, NIN and more. Nobody is safe from Richard as there is something here for everyone. His versions of the songs are unique and refreshing to hear and shed a whole different light on them. Don’t pass them off as a novelty item as this could be the start of something new.
