Rating: 3.5/5

One of the heaviest rock bands to come out of Canada in the last little while. Combining the musicianship of prog rock artists like Rush, mixing it with the sound and heaviness of a band like NIN and adding in a bit of Soundgarden and Stone Temple Pilots for good measure and you get Braintoy. It is clear to see why they are one of Toronto’s hottest band’s right now.

This E.P. is just a sampling of the good things yet to come. While not overly original it does stand up on it’s own against allot of what is out there flooding the market and being played on Rock Radio.

Musically all 4 members are excellent at their craft and it shows on the recording. You will not find and sub-par playing here, even the song writing is somewhat complex. Some tracks have little sounds and effects in the background to madd to the listening experience without taking away from the main songs. A truly interesting listening experience that you should look into.
