Australian progressive metallers Karnivool are once again about to grace the shores of Europe with a 14 date tour beginning March 2015 covering Germany, Switzerland, the Czech Republic, France, the Netherlands and the UK.
Following the well received 2013 album release “Asymmetry” the band toured extensively across Europe as well as their native Australia in 2014 and just recently (January 2015) played successful shows to large enthusiastic crowds in India. Now they’re back to set the stages of Europe and the UK alight with the “Divergence” tour kicking off in Karlsruhe, Germany on the 13th March.
Founded in Perth, Australia in 1997 Karnivool began their journey with an alternative / nu metal sound which over the course of the years has evolved into a far more progressive rock metal act. After releasing their self-titled EP, they went on to produce two full length albums (the acclaimed Themata 2005 and ground-breaking follow up Sound Awake 2009) before releasing the bold and brazen Asymmetry for which they won an ARIA award. Produced by Nick DiDia (Rage Against The Machine, Mastodon) the album was created over 2 years of exploring new musical territory making Asymmetry a powerful yet natural evolution from their previous works.
Having appeared at large scale international festivals such as Big Day Out, Sonisphere and Download Festival as well as garnering praise from major press publications over the years Karnivool are now considered a formidable force in modern progressive music with a rapidly expanding dedicated fan base.
Support on the “Divergence” tour is provided by London based progressive tech metal band Monuments (thisismonuments.com/)
