Initially issued on DVD back in 2010 we are finally treated to a Blu-Ray edition. This BD is not a 100% True Hi Def but it is an improvement over the original DVD release. The original was enjoyable to watch and this is no different.

Without going back to my original review or doing a side by side comparison I watched this BD on it’s own, uninterrupted. After seeing this again (including the Bonus Features)   my mind was refreshed and I remembered the film. This version (as you’d expect) has a cleaner picture than I remembered and the sound is definitely improved. The Bonus Features is what really benefits from the upgrade as they were filmed just for the video release of STONES IN EXILE. The interview section is very informative as different memories are shared on this moment in time. Surprisingly Keith has a wealth of information on this album and it’s recording. Anita and Ronnie add a bit of outsider feel to it even though Anita was there. Her recollections add to the whole story of EXILE and give it a slight bit of a family aspect that we can all sort of relate to. She makes the connection between family, fans and band,

This is the definitive film on the EXILE era Stones. You cannot do any better than this. The mystique is clearer but still there.
