After a year away from The Intrepid Fox, where Hornet played their first London show, the band finally returns to headline as a special one-off show for their fans on Friday 25th October, to release their new single, ‘Storm The Gates’.
Hornet stormed into the rock and metal scene in early 2012 with a whole new style, showing us a mix of punk, metal and rock that works perfectly together. Playing a monthly residency at The Intrepid Fox quickly made a big impact and by the end of the year Hornet sold out shows at The Borderline, The Barfly and Upstairs at The Garage.
The band then released their debut album ‘Skies Are Falling’ in July after a successful Pledge Music project and unveiled a brand new stage show last month at The O2 Academy in Islington which includes a custom stage, over the top lighting, rising drums, smoke, dry ice, wild stage props, confetti cannons and obscene hand puppetry, all of which are a must see.
As a thank you to their loyal fan base entry is a special price of £3.00 (on the door) and will be on a first-come-first-served basis limited to just 100 people. Doors open at 8pm with the after party continuing until 3am.
‘Storm The Gates’ will be released exclusively on iTunes on Monday 28th October and will include previously unreleased B-side ‘Outta Control’.
