Band will perform at the festival in April; “Inner Monster Out” is a sales and critics success in Brazil
Brazilian Metal band Shadowside are scheduled to perform on Metal Open Air, festival that takes place in São Luís, Brazil, from April 20 to 22. The lineup consists of bands such as Anthrax, Blind Guardian, Megadeth, Venom, Symphony X, Andre Matos, Korzus, Torture Squad and many others.

Recognized by media and fans as one of the hottest new Heavy Metal bands, Shadowside recently released the album “Inner Monster Out” in Brazil, which was chosen best album in 2011 according to several websites, magazines and respected journalists in the country. The material was produced, mixed and mastered by Fredrik Nordström (In Flames, Arch Enemy, Evergrey, Hammerfall, Bring me the Horizon) at Fredman Studio in Gothenburg, Sweden. Inner Monster Out features special guest appearances of vocalists Mikael Stanne (Dark Tranquillity), Björn “Speed” Strid (Soilwork) and Niklas Isfeldt (Dream Evil).
The success of “Inner Monster Out” opened doors to other parts of the world. Recently, Shadowside signed with japanese label Spiritual Beast for the release of the album in Japan, Hong Kong, China, Taiwan and South Korea on March 14. European and USA release dates will be announced soon. Two bonus tracks are on the japanese edition of the album: previously unreleased track Virtual Pain and a cover version of Motörhead’s Ace of Spades.
Also, the band recently won the “2011 Rock Show Awards” as Metal band of the year. “Rock Show Awards” is one of the most important music awards in Brazil with focus on Rock and Pop music.
