Greek atmospheric metal band SCAR OF THE SUN will be opening for Swedish deathsters DARK TRANQUILLITY on two consecutive dates of the “Where Death Is Most Alive Tour 2010”. The band was voted by fans and visitors through Century Media Records’ online poll which was set up for every single date of the tour. A competition that initially received 600 band applications and was cleared down to 158 with SCAR OF THE SUN being among the final contestants.
SCAR OF THE SUN will be opening for DARK TRANQUILLITY and INSOMNIUM on the following dates:
16.10.2010 @ Gala Hala/Media Park, Ljubljana (SLOVENIA)
17.10.2010 @ Orpheum, Graz (AUSTRIA)

SCAR OF THE SUN’s debut album, “A Series of Unfortunate Concurrencies”, was mixed and mastered by acclaimed sound engineers Rhys Fulber (FEAR FACTORY, PARADISE LOST, FRONT LINE ASSEMBLY) and Greg Reely (PARADISE LOST, FRONT LINE ASSEMBLY,SKINNY PUPPY) and features guest appearances by Mikael Stanne (DARK TRANQUILLITY), Bob Katsionis (FIREWIND, OUTLOUD), Marios Iliopoulos (NIGHTRAGE), Chris Antoniou (SEPTICFLESH) and Leah Randi (CONJURE ONE). The CD has yet to be released as the band is currently shopping for a record deal.
