Rating: 3/5

Lana is no stranger to the melodic rock world. Her releases contain some of the most emotional vocals ever. Her voice is clear and very well suited to this genre of music.< ?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

This disc finds Lana covering some of Rock’s greatest and most well known tunes. Her “Pink Moon Suite” which is a medley of Pink Floyd songs is stellar as her voice recreates the originals perfectly. This track is easily the standout here with its vocals and the spacy keyboard sounds created by Erik Norlander. There are times during the instrumental parts where you could swear it was actually Floyd. A true gem. Other tracks include “White Room” by Cream as well as “White Rabbit” by Jefferson Airplane where Lana does a decent Grace Slick. On “Starrider” she captures most of the essence of the original but makes it slightly different.

An overall interesting set of cover songs which seems to be the thing these days. This one is a bit unique in that there are female vocals where we are so used to hearing these songs done by a male.
