This tour will showcase their unique and wild style of punk rock mayhem, humor and politically charged anthems.
D.O.A.’s leader Joe Shithead Keithley has just released a D.O.A. side project/solo album called Band of Rebels. The music style is punk-a-billy, ska and roots punk. It’s a barnstorming collection of subversive songs that rock, make you think and are wickedly funny.
Early reviews call it “One of the best albums of 2007” – Billy Bad Breaks, APM Magazine and “One of the top picks of 2007” – Ramsey/AK Press

One of the fastest-rising, hard-working and dedicated bands to come out of both Australia and the US, Mink is heading out on an extensive tour with a few stops in Canada.  With their debut single “Talk To Me” already spinning on over 50 Alternative and Modern rock stations across the US and high profile magazines such as Spin singing their praises, Mink is set to make a huge impact with their debut album coming out later this year.

Non-stop action is all part of the Mink way of life. The New York based band has been pushing themselves since they formed in Spring 2006. They’ve written 60 songs, recorded their debut album in a span of four weeks with producer Sylvia Massy (Red Hot Chili Peppers and Tool), shot a music video for their infectious song “Talk to Me” with director Christian Lamb (Madonna, Korn, Kelly Clarkson, Incubus), had their song “Pressure Pressure” featured nightly on ESPN’s 2006 Major League baseball playoffs coverage, and has become known for their exciting live show in clubs and opening big-venue concerts by Angels & Airwaves, among others. And all that whilst going back and forth between New York (from where singer Neal Carlson hails) and Australia (home to the rest of the band.)
The members come from a variety of backgrounds, ranging from the garage-rock, punk, solo and experimental backgrounds of Carlson, Grant Fitzpatrick and Mozgawa to the formal jazz studies of Nick Maybury, to what may be the most unusual combination of credits for any rocker in David Lowy – he’s a successful businessman, a producer of the Tony Awards-nominated Broadway musical “The Color Purple” and an avid aviation enthusiast and stunt pilot! And though members cite influences and favourites ranging from classic punk to Prince to Bjork to Miles Davis, a chemical bond formed instantly that gave Mink its own enticing character.

One might recognize Mink’s lead singer Carlson from his former band Bona Roba, and from the reality show Rock Star: INXS, but the band is working to be recognized for their music and high energy performances rather than past experiences. “We want to be important, have a legacy, get better and better, and get to the same level of bands we love, like the Foo Fighters and the Chili Peppers,” says Fitzpatrick.  “To keep rock ‘n’ roll alive,” says Maybury. “We’re flying the flag.”

Mink showcased at music industry conference SXSW, toured across the U.S. and Australia, are now set to open two dates for KISS and plan to be on the road as much as they can.

MINK are taking off and pushing the limits.

Canadian Tour Dates:

Montreal, QUE – TBC
July 16, 2007    Zaphod Beeblebrox – Ottawa, Ontario
July 17, 2007    Horseshoe Tavern – Toronto, Ontario

Holy Grail Of Unreleased Wishbone Ash Recordings Sees ‘First Light’

What can only be described as the ‘holy grail’ of unreleased recordings by classic rock legends Wishbone Ash sees its light of day with the CD release of First Light on UK’s Talking Elephant Records. Founded in 1969, Wishbone Ash has released over 30 albums to date, and has been touted as one of the first dual-guitar rock bands.

Back in early 1970 a very young Wishbone Ash, which featured Andy Powell, Ted Turner, Martin Turner and Steve Upton , recorded several demos in hopes of securing a record deal with a major label. “We decided to get what we were all about down on tape,” recalls Andy Powell, whose current incarnation of Wishbone Ash recently completed successful tours of the U.S., Germany and the U.K. “We knew an engineer by the name of Phil Dunne who was working with Eddie Offord, who was famous for his recordings with Yes . There was down time available at Advision studios, so we would go in at night around 10:00 pm and lay down these tracks. It was done undercover, very quickly and it’s this ‘desperate to make it’ vibe which is captured on these recordings. They are very energetic considering we were working through the night. I believe Eddie engineered some tracks and Phil some of the others. Some of the spirit of these songs was lost when we re-recorded them for the official first Wishbone Ash album release on MCA/Decca. Let’s say we became a little more self critical/conscious.”

As fate would have it, through a chance encounter with guitarist Ritchie Blackmore of Deep Purple, Wishbone Ash were signed to MCA through Derek Lawrence. Subsequently, for over 35 years the demos sat in the Apple Records acetate vault gathering dust until recently discovered. In 2006, Christies Auctions put these recordings up for purchase through their online auction house, where they were bid on and won by Wishbone Ash collector extraordinaire Dr. John (not the New Orleans music icon). The good Doctor then contacted Andy Powell about the recordings and graciously offered them back to him, in hopes that they would eventually be released for all Wishbone Ash fans worldwide to enjoy!

This special artifact contains the first known recordings of “Lady Whiskey”, “Blind Eye”, “Queen Of Torture”, “Handy” and “Error Of My Ways.” The recording of “Handy ” on this CD is worth the price of admission alone! What makes the release even more enticing is the inclusion of three unreleased tracks. “Roads Of Day To Day” and “Joshua” have never been re-recorded or heard anywhere before, while the track “Alone” is presented with vocals as it was originally intended.

“I was knocked sideways to hear this work after more than 35 years,” Andy Powell excitedly exclaims. “I’d completely forgotten about the sessions and especially the two songs which for some reason never made it to the official first album release.”

In other Wishbone Ash news… As if First Light isn’t enough to whet any Ash fan’s appetite, comes the release through the band’s official website the third in a series of rare recordings entitled Tracks 3 . This 41-track, three-CD set features acoustic interpretations of classic cuts along with other rarities, including a version of “Warrior” from the classic release Argus with an orchestral backing. Founding member Andy Powell, whom Rolling Stone voted one of the ‘top 20 best guitarists of all time’, recently did an extensive interview for U.S. collector’s magazine Goldmine. This summer Wishbone Ash will be appearing at various festivals in the U.K., Germany, Holland and Greece. For current tour date information check out the band’s official website. On a sad note, after many years of fantastic drumming, Ray Weston will be stepping down from the Wishbone drum stool to teach at the Laguna Beach School of Music in southern California. In the meantime, taking over Ray’s position on drums is Joe Crabtree, who has worked with the likes of Pendragon and David Cross (King Crimson) Band, and in May 2007 made his debut with Wishbone Ash when they performed in Moscow. Joe and the band have also have been recording a new album in Finland, which is expected to be released later this year.

Starr’s EMI Catalog To Make Global Digital Release Debut; New Career-Spanning Collection To Be Released August 28

Ringo Starr has signed an exclusive global recording contract with Capitol/EMI, returning to the world’s largest independent music company to release and market his new solo recordings, as well as his EMI-managed catalog titles and new catalog compilations.

EMI Music will also make Starr’s EMI works available in digital format for the first time on a global basis. On August 28, Starr’s EMI catalog, including the albums Sentimental Journey (1970), Beaucoups Of Blues (1970), the platinum-certified Ringo (1973) and gold-certified Goodnight Vienna (1974), will make their digital debuts.  Fans will be able to purchase Starr’s EMI catalog works from all of EMI’s digital distribution partners, and the titles will also be part of EMI’s premium download offering (free of digital rights management and in a higher-quality bit rate) from participating retailers. Six Ringo Starr ringtones will also debut on August 28.

On the same date, Capitol/EMI Music Catalog Marketing will release the first-ever career and label-spanning collection of Starr’s best solo recordings, PHOTOGRAPH: The Very Best Of Ringo Starr.  To be released physically in CD and Collector’s Edition CD/DVD packages and digitally, the new collection presents 20 standout Starr tracks, including seven Top 10 Pop hits, released between 1970 and 2005 by Capitol, Atlantic, Mercury, Boardwalk, Private Music and Koch.  The Collector’s Edition adds seven never before released film and video clips on DVD, including original promotional films for “It Don’t Come Easy,” “Sentimental Journey” and “Back Off Boogaloo,” among others, and the music video for “Act Naturally” (with Buck Owens).

Since beginning his career in the 1960s with The Beatles, Ringo Starr has been one of the world’s brightest musical luminaries. The Grammy Award-winning drummer, singer and songwriter’s top solo recordings to date, including his string of seven consecutive Top 10 hits, “Photograph,” “You’re Sixteen (You’re Beautiful and You’re Mine),” “It Don’t Come Easy,” “Back Off Boogaloo,” “Oh My My,” “Only You (And You Alone)” and “The No-No Song,” were all released under his first solo recording contract with Capitol/EMI, which spanned 1970 to 1975.

“It’s good to be back,” said Ringo Starr. “It feels like home, just like Liverpool 8.”

“We’re thrilled Ringo’s returning to Capitol/EMI — the place where he started his solo career — and delighted he will again be part of EMI’s current roster around the globe,” said Ronn Werre, President of EMI Music Marketing.  “EMI is excited and privileged to work with Ringo to bring fans both his new recordings and his catalog, and we look forward to debuting his works in the digital format for the first time as well.”

Although he was first known around the world as The Beatles’ drummer, throughout more than 45 years as a global entertainment icon, Ringo Starr has enjoyed a successful and dynamic solo career as a singer, songwriter and drummer, an active musical collaborator, and as an actor.  Drawing inspiration from classic blues, soul, country and rock ‘n’ roll, Starr continues to play an important role in modern music with his solo recording and touring.

“Ultimately, what’s most impressive about Ringo Starr isn’t what he’s been, but rather who he is,” says Rolling Stone magazine Contributing Editor David Wild. “The man’s great heart and soul, his wit and wisdom.”

Starr’s next solo album, titled Liverpool 8, is scheduled for global release by EMI Music in January 2008, via Capitol/EMI in North America and Parlophone in the U.K.

Toledo, Ohio road warriors We Are The Fury have scored the opening slot on Silverchair’s first full US Tour in 5 years! The band is currently on the road with Moros Eros & Olympia and will be doing two weeks of Warped before the Silverchair dates start. See below for all the confirmed dates. If you’d like a press kit, review tickets, interview, press materials…let me know. We handle Silverchair here at Warner Music Group’s Independent Label Group as well so feel free to inquire about them too. Young Modern, their new album, is out July 24th.
Here’s what the press is saying about WaTF’s debut album Venus (in stores now on One Big Spark/East West)
“{WaTF} mixes the arena-rock bombast of Queen with the swagger of T.Rex.” Rolling Stone
“This band doesn’t waste any time. Press play and they’re off with glammed-out, Rolling Stones-influenced rock. Instead of trying to placate the masses they focus on writing instant dance-rock classics that T.Rex would sanction.” 5 Stars, Penthouse
“Think Guns N’ Roses meets Bowie meets reckless abandon” Entertainment Weekly

“WaTF deliver a ha-uge album in Venus that’s full of rock bigness. There’s plenty of variety, all in the key of hipster fashionista sleaze – “Still Don’t Know Your Name” boogies with barroom piano and sax, while “Close Your Eyes” is a bonafide power ballad.” Alternative Press

“Not just for retro music lovers, Venus has a modern twist and more than its fair share of sassy riffs and high-octane energy. ‘Now You Know’ will bring out your party-hungry alter ego, while the ballsy rock ballad ‘You’re My Halo (Prom Song)’ proves that even their softer side has bite.” Zink

Australian trio Silverchair has announced their first full North American
tour since 1999. The dates will be in support of the band’s new album Young Modern which will street on July 24 in the US and Canada on Eleven: a music company through Warner Music Group’s Independent Label Group.

In spite of the band’s long leave of absence they recently sold out some New York, Los Angeles and Toronto shows within minutes. This phenomenal response drew a full page feature in the LA Times Calendar section and lead the LA Weekly to declare that “Silverchair have burrowed into a ‘career band niche’… thriving on quality songwriting and authentic delivery”.

Since exploding to prominence in the mid-90’s Silverchair has morphed into a much more melodic and idiosyncratic band than they were as teenagers. They are currently riding the crest of a wave in Australia with Young Modern becoming the fastest selling and most critically acclaimed album of their career to date. It was certified double platinum in their homeland after just one month.

Young Modern sees Silverchair pushing their collective envelope by combining an eclectic mix of pop sensibilities and melodic indie rock with some epic orchestral flourished by legendary Beach Boys collaborator Van Dyke Parks.

Saturday, August 4th – Chicago, IL – Lollapalooza (on sale NOW)
Sunday, August 5th – Minneapolis, MN – First Avenue (on sale June 16th)

In addition to their own headline tour Silverchair will also make a
mainstage appearance at the 30,000-capacity Lollapalooza Festival in Chicago on 4th August alongside Arcade Fire, Bright Eyes and Clap Your Hands Say Yeah.

Quite frankly, the facts speak for themselves. Young Modern is Silverchair’s fifth consecutive #1 Album in Australia. They’ve had more number 1 albums in their homeland than any other Aussie
band in history (Midnight Oil had four, INXS and AC/DC had three). Rolling Stone magazine has called their new album a “towering triumph” and the lead track Straight Lines spent four weeks at #1 making it Silverchair’s biggest hit since their breakthrough single Tomorrow back in 1995.

Nintendo-core innovators HORSE the Band have just announced a summer tour with Black Light Burns, the new project from Wes Borland, beginning June 8!!

Fresh off a successful headlining run in the spring, the men from HORSE are preparing for the release of their third all-new CD, A Natural Death, due August 28. In June, HORSE the Band will play a string of dates to show fans what A Natural Death is all about.

“We posted a series of ads and pictures featuring dead wolves who were killed in an ‘un-natural’ way (i.e. by humans and technology). This is meant to explore the irony of ‘a natural death’ and make people ask themselves, ‘What is natural?’  Nature being murdered by man is paralleled by man being murdered by nature, which is a theme of our album,” says guitarist David Isen.

“A Natural Death is about the futility and arrogance of creation and destruction, the overwhelming scale of space and time, and the brutal majesty of nature, the horror of birth and the beauty of death,” adds keyboardist Erik Engstrom. “Hopefully this album will serve as a warning to the human race to stop taking itself so seriously, as we have seen the dire consequences of its actions in the future.”

Here’s what people are already saying about HORSE the Band:

“Last year, HORSE the Band played a style of spastic post-hardcore they labeled Nintendocore. Now there’s more metal pulsing through their joysticks.” – Revolver, June 2007

“The band’s sound is a spastic, brutal mix of metal fused with synth-produced blips and bleeps, crafted not only to scramble your brains, but tickle your funny bone.” – mtv.com, April 2007

“…A Natural Death shreds, Atari-patched synths and all.”  “8/10” – Decibel Magazine, July 2007

“Retaining the core elements of the sound heard on their last album, yet moving in a heavier and more melodic direction at once, A Natural Death is sure to make many a critic’s year-end list.” – Outburn, #39

“The music of Horse is something to be appreciated, especially if you like it fast and loud.”   “ear-blasting metal that is out of this world.”   “This isn’t your mama’s keyboards and isn’t anything for the timid, as these are pounding, rhythmic punches in the face that put you in a frantic trance.”   “the band’s ‘Nintendocore’ sound definitely pulls them apart from any typical metal band into a sound of their own.”  – MusicStreetJournal.com, April 2007

“Simply put, they are as fucking cool as the modern metal movement can be.”   “It’s kind of like The Cure and New Order meet a retarded version of Opeth in a bar fight and it’s declared a draw, or possibly Q-Bert on death metal peyote.”   “You can tell that this band could be one of the best bands in any genre they would actually select that makes them so brilliant for not selecting any of them.” – Hardrockhaven.net, May 2007.

“Sometimes, HORSE the band can sound kinda tough. And then there are the times when you can tell that they really like video games. But you see, that’s why we like them.” – RealDetroitWeekly.com, April 2007

“Few up-and-coming bands have a better formula for success than Californians HORSE the Band” – Ottawa Sun, April 2007

“HORSE the Band never fails to entertain.” – Our Generation, April 9, 2007

“…oddly cool…” The Idaho Statesman, April 20, 2007

Named one of Alternative Press Magazine’s 100 Bands To Watch, HORSE the Band will play as direct support to Black Light Burns. Don’t miss their one-of-a-kind stage show, and look for A Natural Death on August 28!!

Frontiers Records

Frontiers Records is pleased to announce all details for the release of DAVID READMAN’s self titled debut album on August 31st 2007 !

Best known as singer for PINK CREAM 69, David also appeared on album from Adagio and from studio projects such as Missa Mercuria and on the more recent Andersen / Laine / Readman cd.

After David left the French Power Metal outfit Adagio in 2005, he started to gather material for a solo album which has always been his ultimate dream. “I did a lot myself from writing the songs, to recording organizing the whole thing” says David, “Dennis Ward (David’s bandmate in PC69) recorded the drums over 2 sessions and also mixed the record. If  I was to thank something it would be the Internet, strange I know but without it would have taken even longer. And I wouldn’t have met all the great people who played on the record, especially Paul Logue (of Eden’s Course) who played bass and wrote 2 songs with me”.

David has worked hard on the songwriting. He explains: “There are a few songs that wouldn’t have made it on a PC69 cd because of style, with this record I was able to experiment a little. When you work this way it becomes your baby, you’re making all the decisions. It’s not always easy to keep a song interesting from the start to the finish. So that was a lot of work, but that’s what I wanted”

Recording started already during 2006, but David needed a long break (for the recording of PC 69’s latest opus “In10sity”), so that resumed the work in February 2007 and finally delivered the album in the spring time.

“I am very happy with the record, it was a big deal for me a real learning-curve. I’m also interested to hear what the people have to say about it, I’m very inpatient”, concludes the Burnley-born british singer.

The line-up appearing on “David Readman” includes Paul Logue (Eden’s Curse) on bass, Dirk Bruinenberg (Elegy) and Chris Schmidt on drums, Eric Ragno (ex Takara) and Günter Werno (Vandenplas) on keyboards and Alex Beyrodt (Silent Force), Gerald Sänger, Tommy Denander and bandmate Uwe Reitenauer on guitars. David also plays guitars and keyboards.

Production duties are handled by Dennis Ward.

Tracklisting includes:

Without You; Evil Combination; Take These Tears; Don’t Let It Slip Away; No Peace For The  Wicked; Long Way To Heaven; Wild In The City; Gentle Touch; Prisoner Of Shame; New  Messiah; Over The Ocean; Love In  Vain. Don’t Let It Slip Away (bonus multimedia video track which can be already watched on the Frontiers Records my space page: www.myspace.com/frontiersrecords)

It’s safe to say that fans of Pink Cream 69 and David Readman will not be disappointed with this record, who sets the style in Melodic Hard Rock, with soaring hooklines and in-your face guitars.

Don’t miss “David Readman” in all fine shops on August 31st 2007 on Frontiers Records with a release in Japan scheduled on King Records.

Mark Williamson, the singer of TRW, the exciting brand new trio also featuring guitarist extraordinaire Michael Thompson and master-drummer John Robinson, sent us his track by track comments about the songs included in the debut album “Rivers of Paradise” out on Frontiers Records. Enjoy the read!

Set My Spirit Free: this one came straight from the heart for me. Also feels like a great way to start the CD & a live show, setting up Rivers of Paradise.

Rivers Of Paradise: I love Rivers, it kicks in serious fashion! Great guitars & drums!

Hold On: is such a cool groove – classic  JR, burning guitars and a great unexpected vocal segue into Indiscretion.

Indiscretion: I love the vibe of this one and this is a rare song with a message, if you can figure it out!

Gonna Be Some Changes: cool vibe, the other nearly message song – we all have changes to make.

Only a Letter: this one tells a story song about a guy who looses his one good woman. I guess we’ve all lost something or someone, sometime.

Hard Time Love: it’s not the easy times that make you a stronger person, it’s definitely the hard times. GREAT groove!

One Good Woman: this one rocks! You don’t need a bunch, just one!!

Love Comes Calling: yeah baby!! Be ready when it does.

Alimony Blues: be ready when it leaves! My favourite song on the CD. I wanted her to have the house. NOT!!! Enjoy!

The first reviews of the album have just appeared on the net with great acclaim:

“Robinson has said of the album “One thing that we pride ourselves on is all our songs have melodies that everybody will remember.” This is a superb attitude and and it’s what’s made this such a good album” – (Komodorock)

“A real triumph on all levels” – Martin Cooper (Alloutguitars.com)

Also ROCK HARD Germany rated the cd with a glowing 8/10 !

Former Black Crowe’s blues-guitar guru has delivered an extraordinary album full of Classic Rock-soaked riffs, bluesy based crunch with Southern Rock twang.  “My influences go way beyond as I do not play nor do I listen to rock,” explains Ford. “What influences my playing is folk, blues, jazz, gospel, country, reggae and the list goes on…” Weary and Wired is a significant recording showing Ford’s strength as a singer/songwriter, fueled by large doses of his phenomenal guitar work that brings to mind such masters as Clapton, Hendrix and Beck.

Hailing from Nuevo León, Mexico, Nerv uses musical instruments to create landscapes and atmospheres, textures and layers. With the recent release of their 7 song EP, Señor con Sanitario, Nerv are dedicated to displaying a style all their own. The band is set to play the North by North East music festival in Toronto on Saturday June 9 th at C’est What at midnight.

Nerv plays sad, melancholic music that more often than not, turns into a chaotic swirl of angst-driven metallic pathos. The band was started in 1999 by lead singer and guitarist Pedro Diaz. Accompanied by Iziur on bass, Handal on drums, and Red on guitar and keyboard, Pedro is taking the band in the direction he’s always dreamed of.

Nerv is recording and mixing its second EP, The Borderline, with international Mexican artist Alejandro Rosso (Plastilina Mosh) at his Kim Jong Sound studios. They have recently released their new single “How They Made Their Millions”, which will be featured on the upcoming EP. The band will be traveling upward making a stop in New York to play the Annex, and then continuing on to display their talents in Toronto at NXNE 2007.
Don’t miss the only band from Mexico showcasing Nerv at NXNE 2007.
“Nerv is on to some lurid demonstrations of sensory overload with their hallucinogenic melodies.” – ‘CatsAsk.com

“4/4 – This is the type of bands that deserve all our support, here’s our grain of sand. Look out for them!” – www.eufonia.net

“…But don’t think this is some rehashed pop-rock thing wrapped in indie bubble wrap. No this is in fact great indie rock from our southern country brothers. The guitars are by far the best part and will carry you on their shoulders for a great ride of melody and melancholy drippings of guitar string strumming.” – www.smother.net

Silverchair Sign With Warner Music Group’s Independent Label Group

Young Modern Set For A July 24th Release.
Trio Confirmed For Lollapalooza And Plan A Full US Tour This Summer.

Multi-platinum selling Australian trio Silverchair -Singer/Guitarist/Songwriter Daniel Johns, drummer Ben Gillies and bass player Chris Joannou – have signed on with Warner Music Group’s
Independent Label Group to release their fifth studio album, Young Modern, in North America on July 24th 2007. The album will come out on Eleven: a music company, in association with Warner Music Group.

The band is already confirmed for a mainstage appearance on Lollapalooza, Saturday August 3rd in Chicago and they have plans for a full North American tour this July and August. Dates will be announced shortly. While they played a handful of acclaimed, sold out shows in New York, LA and Toronto earlier this year, the forthcoming dates will be their first full tour of the U.S. and Canada since 1999.

Silverchair are one of the most acclaimed and successful bands in Australian music history. They have had more #1 albums in their homeland than any other Aussie band (they have enjoyed five chart toppers, Midnight Oil had four #1’s, while AC/DC and INXS each had three). Their music has evolved hugely
since their teenage years and they’ve now grown into 27 year old critical darlings – a feat that seemed highly unlikely back in the mid-90’s.

Young Modern is Silverchair’s first album of new material in over five
years. The disc is the fastest seller of their incredible career to date
having been certified double platinum in less than a month. Its lead track “Straight Lines” has become the group’s biggest hit since their 1995 breakthrough, “Tomorrow”, racking up a month at #1 on the Aussie singles charts. The album is the follow up to 2002’s cult classic, Diorama, which saw Silverchair embracing melody and orchestral flourishes and combining it all with brighter, more surreal lyrics. It was a huge creative leap whose Stateside release was impeded by an arthritic condition that prevented Daniel Johns from touring or doing any promotion until a year after its US release. Young Modern picks up where Diorama left off, expanding the bands’ sound even further by combining an infectious blend of melodic indie rock with eclectic pop sensibilities.

On Young Modern, lead singer/guitarist Daniel Johns shared the producer role with Nick Launay (Midnight Oil, Arcade Fire, Talking Heads) who had helmed earlier Silverchair albums Freak Show and Neon Ballroom.  Diorama producer, David Bottrill was brought in as mixer. Paul Mac was again on hand for keyboard duties as he was with the group’s two previous albums and legendary Beach Boys collaborator Van Dyke Parks reprised his Diorama role penning orchestrations for three songs which were recorded in Prague with an 80 piece orchestra.

“It took me a long time to realize that the sound Ben, Chris and I make when we play my songs is something special”, says Silverchair frontman Daniel Johns. “I’ve been thinking a lot since we finished the album about were this fits into the other stuff we’ve done. The way I see it the first album was all about naivety, the second one was anger, the third one was depression and the last one was escapism. Young Modern is all about acceptance. It’s about embracing who we are as band and just really enjoying ourselves. Hopefully listening to this album will make other people feel what we feel when we play these songs together because I’ve finally figured out that that’s a very special feeling.”
