Befote I insert the new Hate on my CD player to do this review, I have to eject Scarve´s IRRADIANT CD out of it and here is where I realize why these two bands are so good. Both of them are part of the Listenable Records Rooster and that is surely a guarantee of quality kick ass Metal. I still need to find a band from the label that doesn´t deliver the goods.

ANACLASIS – A HAUNTING GOSPEL OF MALICE & HATRED is surely going to please everyone into Polish Death/Black Metal ala Behemoth, Crionics and Vesania. The music is crystal clear and the production cuts through like a razor sharp knife. Everything is well mixed.

One aspect that separates Hate from the other Polish bands, is that they incorporate a bit more melody and industrial elements into their music. These industrial elements are really interesting and add a lot to the overall sound. But the thing that separates the band even more, is the catchiness of their compositions. They really know how to write incredibly catchy and memorable riffs without loosing the heaviness. I haven’t heard such a catchy Extreme Metal record in a long time.

In ANACLASIS songs like “Necropolis” and “Anaclasis” are standouts. These compositions, like all of them, have a basic structure and are not just million riffs thrown together in the lapse of 3 minutes and a half. They are well thought songs with simple structure that attain an amazing level that could be compared to a bulldozer on crack.

Gotta go, it’s time to go to the record store and get the entire catalogue of this guys. They are an amazing band that can push the envelope in many ways.
