A live concert from June 2005 and a documentary about the reunion with Joey Belladonna and several bonus features.

They’re Back!! After over a decade of being apart the classic line up of Spitz, Bello, Belladonna, Benante and Ian join forces once again to give fans something they’ve wanted for a long time.

Filmed this past June in New Jersey, this DVD showcases one of the first shows the reunited band played together since the beginning of the 90’s. They still sound as tight as ever despite the long absence from the scene. The picture is a little dark but it is crystal clear. Sound-wise it is a tad bass heavy and Joey’s vocals are a little low in the mix in places.

Just about all the classic songs are performed from “A.I.R.” through to “Time”. There are several that should have been on here but they obviously couldn’t do them all. The tracks are performed with more aggression and slightly heavier than the originals especially “N.F.L.” and “I’m The Man”.

The band themselves look slightly different than they did back in the heyday with the exception of Joey who looks identical to the day he left in \’92. Right down to the trademark silver wristband…Joey is the same. Spitz is now all buffed up and sporting a shorter hair style. Gone for now are his trademark Jackson V’s which are replaced with PRS Guitars. One of which is painted with Ninja Turtles. Ahhhh, a throwback to the old days.

Extras on the disc are pretty decent. We get a bunch of interviews and a documentary. The meeting. Both are very informative and interesting especially seeing them getting together for the first time in years. A definite must have for any ‘thrax fan or fan of classic heavy Thrash Metal.
