It pisses me off that I didn’t listen earlier. Having floated around www.metal-rules.com for a long time, I never heeded the advice of colleagues and friends to check this band out. I guess you can’t hear it all but it was a lesson well learned and now I’m firmly on board for Fireigns reign. It’s better late than never, so don’t make the same mistake I did! Check out www.fireign.com right away.

Fireign has been reviewed before on this site so I’ll keep my comments short other than to fully agree with review of my colleague Evil G who reviewed their debut full-length back in 2002. These guys kick ass!

Canada’s Fireign play thrash with hints of power metal and lots of melody. The band was nice enough to send me a free four song CD sampler and every track is top-notch. Good production, good songwriting with fast songs (but not blast-beats) are featured here. The vocals are rough, raw and ready full of power and aggression.
There are guitars all over the place but never seem to distract from the business of head-banging. World-class, bullet-proof and bound for glory, Fireign are thrashtastic!
